Somebody will put it on the interwebs for free, I'll read it then.

Louisville shooter "he/him" democrat.

Alabama grad.

Didn't even hear about that one

Guy texts a buddy that he is going to shoot up his workplace, a bank. Kills 5 people, dies in a shootout with police. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-65233350

Social media posts (mostly scrubbed now) indicate he was a Democrat. He had he/him pronouns on his LinkedIn, but that's not too unusual for some industries - I don't think it means he was a full-on tranny lover.

Nothing forces you to put pronouns into LinkedIn...It may be business networking, but it's still a personal site.

I don't think we're done seeing left wingers go out in a blaze of glory and use their efforts to further the anti-gun agenda.

I think some companies probably strongly suggest it.

Just bought one of these so I can plink stuff for a lot less, as far as ammo goes. Plus, I can get an armadillo or squirrel if I want.

Yeah, I played with one at the store yesterday. I liked the feel, and it's smaller than my Taurus for concealed carry. Pricey, though.

The current lady is looking for a gun and since practicality is slightly less important to her than sexy, she gravitated to the Kimber Micro 9. She's an average size gal, but her hands aren't tiny (not man hands either  )....I looked at a side by side...

If you haven't used this site and you want to compare sizes, it's awesome - https://www.handgunhero.com/compare/kimber-micro-vs-sig-sauer-p365-xl

I was reminded why I went with the P365 XL for my new carry. Because all the others are fucking tiny. I have an extended 15 round mag in my XL, which is already has a noticeably longer grip than other micros/compacts, and my hand still doesn't fit entirely on it. The Micro 9 wouldn't fit but half my hand, less than I'm comfortable with.

Taking her to the store tomorrow to handle some various ones. A woman doesn't need a micro when it goes into a damn purse.

Speaking of plinking for less, I'm toying with the idea of going with a 9mm carbine instead of a .22 breakdown. Not as cheap as a .22, but still cheaper than .223. And 2 of the options fold. Do I have a real world use? Not particularly other than play time, but I like the idea of having a rifle and a handgun with the same ammo. If I go for the cheapest reputable brand, this one folds in half (side by side) and fits in a backpack

https://www.basspro.com/shop/en/smith-wesson-mp-fpc-series-folding-carbine

I'm still torn on whether or not it's a waste of money. Buying a $1k 9mm PCC would be a waste...I could probably justify under $600 to myself

I have the Kel-tec 9mm PCC (Sub 2000). It's pretty cool, and m-carbo makes a ton of upgrade parts for it.

You could probably build an AR-15 style, 9mm pcc for less than $600. I haven't looked at them lately though.

Not too much less. $500 or so from piecing out from a look earlier. Not worth the time or effort to save that little. Now if I wanted Sig's that is stupidly overpriced at $2k or any of those from $1k-$2k, I could easily build an equal quality for a portion of that price. But for S&W quality, it's about on par from what I see.

Did a more thorough price out just for a mid tier Aero Precision build....I can buy one cheaper. The only way it becomes worth it to build, IMO, is going with an 80% lower so it's not registered. Which jacks up the price even more for the jig. I'd love to do it, but I still haven't built my glock from the 80%. Not spending money on another 80% until I've done the first one.

Fuck the government and this registration bullshit.

I've also been toying with ignoring this altogether and being completely irrational and getting an AR-10. No good reason other than I'd like a semi-auto hunting rifle. My Remington .270 bolt action is a great gun, has a longer reach than a .308 and will kill everything in North America the same as a .308.

But damn .270 ammo can be hard to find and the .308 has so many more options available. I could buy a lot of ammo, when I find it, for the price of buying a .308 and then ammo.....but the .308 I still have 4x the ammo loaded. Which for hunting is meaningless, but the zombie apocalypse, that would be handy

I love my Smith & Wesson M&P 10. With the expensive ammo, it shoots .5 moa or less. With el cheapo ammo, it shoots around 1 moa or less.

But, the M&P 10 is kind of hit or miss. Some shoot lights out ( like mine) or they have the accuracy of an early Ruger Mini 14... minute of barn.

I was looking at that one, primarily due to price comparison. I'm happy with the Sport II I have....after I replaced the fugly handguards that come on their AR's  The only other real option is to go up a few hundred more to Savage MSR10 or in that $1500 price range.

I'm a little curious about the 6.5 PRC. Don't really see a downside to it other than that also has limited ammo availability compared to a .308.

It's hard for me to weigh out what's practical and realistic for real world scenarios and what I want just for the hell of it
