đŸ”«Guns all new guns thread

People are just stupid. Someone on X was like “guns aren’t regulated at all” lol an apparently adult human

It's happening...

Local law enforcement agencies said Thursday morning that they will stop enforcing Florida’s open carry law.

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office, the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, and the Pensacola Police Department all said they will not enforce the state law banning the open carry of firearms. The move follows a decision Monday by the First District Court of Appeal that found the law unconstitutional.

“Recently, the First District Court of Appeals declared Florida Statute 790.053 (Open Carry Ban) unconstitutional. While it is possible that the State of Florida could appeal this ruling, it seems unlikely. As such, I am instructing my deputies to no longer enforce the open carry ban found in FSS 790.053,” Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons said Thursday morning.

The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office and the Pensacola Police Department also said they will comply with the court decision.

I need a new owb holster for my Ruger. I just added an Olight light/laser combo. It's mostly my nightstand gun, but I will use it as my open carry if I ever do that.

For CCW, Hidden Hybrid Holsters are insanely comfortable. I'm also really happy with Tulster for open carry. Minimal footprint, keeps it close to you, good retention...much less bulky than many hip carries I've seen.
I need to buy a new gun. I have a POS Hi Point .40. Thing is HUGE. Weighs like 4 lbs unloaded.

There are really no bad choices out there these days. All the big names make a solid carry piece and it comes down to personal preference. Best advice, go to a store and handle each one. The size of the grip and ergonomics are notably more comfortable on varying guns depending on the size of your hands.

Is this true guys? I feel like 99% of the male gun owners are dreaming of living red dawn, even the gay ones

If actual war were to break out, I have no plans to run, got a right knee that won't let me, so I'll stay and fight. I can't speak for other guys, but personally I never want to see a war on American soil. Not an invasion, not a civil war, Aliens, nothing that has organized bloodletting. I love my country too much, but if it happens, we fight...to the death, and that would be a good, meaningful death...like Horatius at the bridge:

"Horatius at the Bridge" is a narrative poem by Thomas Babington Macaulay that celebrates the bravery of Horatius Cocles, a Roman soldier who defended a crucial bridge against Etruscan invaders.

But the Consul's brow was sad, and the Consul's speech was low,
And darkly looked he at the wall, and darkly at the foe.
"Their van will be upon us before the bridge goes down;
And if they once might win the bridge, what hope to save the town?"
Then out spoke brave Horatius, the Captain of the Gate:
"To every man upon this earth, death cometh soon or late;
And how can man die better than facing fearful odds,
For the ashes of his fathers, and the temples of his Gods,
"And for the tender mother who dandled him to rest,
And for the wife who nurses his baby at her breast,
And for the holy maidens who feed the eternal flame,
To save them from false Sextus, that wrought the deed of shame?
"Hew down the bridge, Sir Consul, with all the speed ye may!
I, with two more to help me, will hold the foe in play.
In yon strait path, a thousand may well be stopped by three:
Now, who will stand on either hand and keep the bridge with me?'

Reactions: RIP
Last night roughly 15 cops showed up on my street with ARs. They were obviously looking for someone. I was pretty paranoid that the person could possibly be in my backyard. I got my pistol and went to shine a flashlight outside when my mother in law approached from behind. Her reflection looked like someone right outside my screened in porch and I about shit 😂 Got the all clear alert about 15 mins later and I have no idea who they were looking for.

Ha think makes me think of my brother in law in the middle of the night heard someone at the window going “hey Gary” and in his head he concocted the idea some drug dealers had mistaken his house for a drug den and got his gun out and pointed it at the window and before he shot noticed it was a very old dementia sufferer who had escaped a neighbors home

I was hoping that this ended with RIP shooting out his sliding glass door. 😆

I have beef with one of the carry laws.

Not going into a bar bar, I get. But restaurants should be based on consumption. It's retarded that I can't be CCW and go eat at the bar of a restaurant by myself.

That was the whole point of the concealed carry law in Texas - the Lubys massacre in 91.
