Now I'm torn on optic. Prism is much easier on my eyes than a red dot (or green, in my case).....but with a 10mm, may want to shoot longer than close range and I don't think I can see that damn far with no magnification (even with glasses). But....prisms and magnifiers just don't play well together. Not easily. Booo

That's an easy fix. Primary Arms has their own line of magnified prism scopes up to 5x. I have several and they are pretty nice. They stay zeroed, even after falling into the floorboard of my SxS.

I have a PA 3x prism on my 5.56, but I've never even tried to shoot at close range. It's comfortable. I was thinking it may be a tad much for close quarters. I don't have time to get to a range before sales end.
What's the closest range you think you've comfortably shot it without getting a big blurry image like you're right on top of it?

The size of the FPC is a consideration. It's only 30", how much I mount...don't want it to be overkill. Speaking of, if it was an AR....The Vortex Spitfire 3x prism has a small picatinny at a 45 for a small red dot. That would be benefit.....but again, seems like overkill for the size of the FPC. That one is almost 6"

Fuck the longer distance, just gonna go with a 1x prism. It's meant to be a short distance. Can't imagine I'd really need to shoot beyond 50 yards.
And can I just say, fuck how sales work? I bought some Magtech to run through when I get it, it was on sale. Today I get an email, Federal Black has a rebate. 600 rounds for $200. 30 cent a round for that 10mm round? Fuck, I may have to buy more

Or maybe.....I hadn't seen a 2x Prism before, which turns out PA does make. It's still 5"....on a 16" barrel. Although I've seen a $100 mount that attaches to the grip half of the FPC to get a better location. I just might go for the 2x, perfect compromise. I just don't see how people are claiming to easily hit 200 yard targets with no magnification....I know damn well my eyes even with glasses can't see a 6" saucer at 200 yards

Taking a moment to bitch relating to guns. Having my eye dominance change in my 40s seriously sucks ass. I had been working on shooting with both eyes open, mostly with just aim, trying to get use to it. I already had to shift how I hold a pistol to my left, which wasn't a big deal. That made seeing the red dot and keeping focus with both eyes open not too bad.
But with a rifle? Fucking impossible. And I don't see myself learning to shoot left handed to ever feel natural.

I put an Olight light/laser on my Ruger, and now I need a new owb holster. It's kind of a PITA to find one online.
I might have to go to Shooter's World in the villages, they do custom kydex holsters in-house.

I really like my Tulster holster for the Sig. Now finding an OWB for my 10mm is a bitch, CandG are one of the only places I can find online that makes one for my model. I always have my chest holster, but I want an OWB for camping.

So....I had to pick up some stuff at Bass Pro yesterday. The rifle still isn't here, it's been in Shipping for a week. It's been 2.5 weeks since I ordered it. So while I was getting the other items that have been sitting there since the purchase, I asked if they could track the shipment for the rifle.
It should have been there a week and a half ago. They can't track shipping though, they're only told it's in shipping, but clearly it's lost. Now here's the fucked up part. The rifle I bought is in stock right now. It was in stock when I bought it and selected store pickup. They chose to ship it instead of letting me come pick one up in stock after the waiting period. Now they lost the fucking thing. Their solution? I can buy another one that is in stock, come back and pick it up in a few days. Bass Pro has their own waiting period, law or CCW be damned. At least this one does.
Oh and the kicker? They said, "and when the other rifle arrives, we can cancel the order".
What do you mean, when it arrives? You should cancel the order right now and refund me. How do they refund me on the delivery of a rifle they clearly lost a week ago? Are you suggesting I don't get refunded if it never arrives?

Apparently the problem is they don't ship directly. They use a 3rd party with no tracking information. What a retarded way to do business and with possibly the worst product of all time to use a shitty 3rd party for shipping. This ain't exactly tupperware ffs.
