đź“şTelevision Movie/tv thread

Getting to the end of Fringe. It started to make me doubt for a couple episodes in S3 or S4, but it all circled around and made sense later. Overall, it's mostly held my attention. Dr. Bishop continues to make me laugh with his love for drugs. The dropped acid episode was great.

I do have a minor issue, which is the major overuse of a movie cliche. At least once per season, someone is narrowly missed by the person chasing them and they pull the, "They were just here, the cup is still warm" as they pick up the coffee mug. Seriously, at least 5 times that I can recall now. So unnecessary.
For once it should be them coming into the bathroom with the smell of a fresh deuce still lingering

Satisfying end to Fragile. I enjoyed that much more than I expected.

Aquaman 2 was way better than the first one. Not a DC fan and Aquaman is pretty lame, but this one was entertaining.

The new Wonka. Not what I expected, but a good casting choice for a young Wonka and he did a good job of getting similar to Gene Wilder. Overall I liked it for it intentionally being cheesy. Perhaps my favorite Oompa Loompa.

Wasn’t bad, anything with dragons or vampires I’m hip with. just starting to watch Prison Break, decent so far.

Finally checked off one of my post apocalyptic to-watch list: Threads (1984). What an utterly depressing nightmare. I loved it.

Traveling cross country I’ve had a lot of time to watch shows. Again on Apple+ Constellation is damn good. Took me longer than probably most to figure out what was going on, but it’s good. It was little hard to follow early, but they back track a lot to help keep it from getting too messy.

Roadhouse 2024 style.

Way better than it should have been. Besides some badly places jokes it was more serious in tone than the original. More like a Lethal Weapon vibe.

Fights were good, though the style they filmed them in was a little jarring.

The anti woke will have a lot to complain about. White male owner is now black female, white female doctor is now some sort of Hispanic, skinny white barmaid is now a fatso... none of that bothered me though.

Connor McGregor was over the top but I guess that was part of his character.

Guessing they left out the “I’m going to make you my regular Saturday night thing” line

Yes. :icon-sad:

It wasn't really a remake it was more a movie about the same broad idea "guy is hired o to clean up a bar and gets involved with local crime boss". Besides that none of the plot or characters besides Dalton are the same.
