Last half of P1S5 Yellowstone was better than the first. More cowboy shit, a few more scenes with the cowboys that made the first seasons entertaining and were really the highlight of the episodes. John continues to make one shit choice after another. The Jamie thing is so stupidly predictable.

Yep. This season isn't following the book as closely as season 1 so far, but it is still good.

I don't care about book followings unless they fuck it up (ala late seasons GOT). Reacher, as long as it's good tv, I don't care.

The changes don't amount to much, overall story is the same. I don't remember any of the flashbacks in the book, and some of the events that played out so far are different but wind up in the same place.
For instance, in the book, when Reacher tries to go get the guns, the clerk tries to rob Reacher's money. Reacher being Reacher, kicks his ass, takes the guns, and keeps his money.
And always knows the precise time.

I thought there were a few that didn't have a female love interest but it's been a while since I read them.
Some of the stuff in the books is ridiculous. There was one where Reacher had spent the summer building pools in the Florida Keys or something so he was even more buff than usual and at the end of the book his pectoral muscle literally stops a bullet.

I kinda like the change then. It was amusing to watch him haggle with the guy. What I don't like....it feeds in the lefties belief that there are a bunch of loop holes and gun dealers willing to risk their FFL license and prison time for random people.

The haggling was all in the book, but right at the end when Reacher thought he was good the dude pulls a gun on him and tries to rob him.
