The English, Amazon Orignal, 6 ep western miniseries on Prime. Emily Blunt and an Indian dude named Chaske Spencer. Dialogue somewhat similar to Deadwood in its wordiness and old fashioned sentence structure. Good story and pretty well acted. Excellent cinematography and locations.

Don't know how I missed this or it hasn't popped up in my recommendations with my viewing of westerns.

Watched first 2 episodes of Yellowstone season 5, kinda vanilla, but won’t stay that way I’m sure

Shows the darker, grittier side of that time period (1875-1890) through the OK/NEB/WY area as well as how many European immigrants were involved in taming the West.

The undoing (hbo) - pretty bad. Nicole Kidman is still lovely but has had so much work done that her face is inexpressive
The wonder (netflix) - pretty slow moving and dumb.

Indiana Jones 5 is going to suck. Plot spoilers below.

I don't mind passing the torch to a female hero, but that sounds like a terrible plot. Time travel? Teaming up with a young Indy against a young Toht? That just sounds terrible.

It's supposed to be set when he's in his 70s, so set it in the 1960s. Have him clash with escaped Nazis in South America while he hunts some kind of maybe-supernatural treasure. Or you could even do the Soviets again (even though number 4 was awful).

3 Episodes into Ancient Apocalypse. Pretty interesting so far, especially the Malta stuff. I don't see why people are so up in arms about it.

Stupidity, arrogance, politics/funding.

The arguments to discredit his theories are always stupid. "WHY ISNTT THERE ANY PROOF? TOOLS!".

Well, if our civilization disappeared today, in 10,000 years, there would be no traces of us left. The earth would disintegrate every trace of us. Steel, plastic, rubber....everything we've made would leave 0 trace. And that's without cosmic impacts. Or ignoring that we now live in areas that were largely covered in ice then and the locations where people lived then are 400' under water or covered by jungle/sand and have never been explored.

There's no rational or logical reason to believe there HAS to be evidence sitting in plain sight, waiting to be discovered by simply digging a basement or installing a water main of an advanced civilization prior to the last ice age. Which is why it ultimately comes back to politics. Which still makes no sense to me, because it would seem that opening up the search even wider and further back would only increase funding, not decrease it.

Also, he's a frequent guest on Rogan. That's enough.

I've seen that mentioned and I wouldn't doubt for a second that it could contribute to it.

He's also a huge proponent of psychedelics and views them as nearly a cure all for every mental illness. I'm sure Big Pharma doesn't like that. He's anti government of all forms, so he gets no love there

Indy 5 trailer looks good, but I don't see anything in it that contradicts the spoilers, above.

I don't know if they're villains (because it's all super-nerdy comic book shit that I looked up and can't make heads or tail of), but the black guy is supposed to be "The High Evolutionary" and the gold guy is "Adam Warlock."

I haven't watched the holiday special yet but I need to.

This trailer keeps popping up on my feed, could be funny, but I think all the jokes are in the trailer already.

You people need to check out Wednesday on Netflix. Dark as fuck, a cool interpretation of the Addams Family.
