📺Television Movie/tv thread

I'm sure no one else is going to watch the Mole, but....

I called it on episode 1 that become of today's climate, the mole would be a black woman. It was.

Also, the annoying token gay guy who wore guys clothes, still a bit of a flamer, is at the finale/reunion wearing a full dress but still looks entire like a man. Just a man in a dress. FFS.
 
I saw Avatar once and don't remember a thing about it. I remember I didn't get the love it got. Visually stunning, yes. But meh to the story.

It's pretty good, not to mention Anya Chalotra gets nekkid several times which is excellent cinema in and of itself.

Other goodies: The Peripheral (Prime Original), Spiderhead with Chris Hemsworth, and Solace (2016) with Anthony Hopkins and Colin Ferrell.

Oh, and for my brother in Brit tv Evs, The Devil's Hour with Peter Capaldi is very good.
 
I don't know that the Witcher suffers much without Cavill. His character pretty much just broods and says "hmmmm" all the time - not much acting required. Cavill's a good looking dude, but so is Hemsworth.

There were a whole lot of women on the FB thread where it was announced disagree :lol:

Changing the main character after 3 seasons is rarely a good thing. Historically, those shows crash and burn terribly.

I get your point that the character is pretty one note, but that doesn't necessarily mean anyone can pull it off. And I haven't seen them side by side, but even a ripped Liam seems thin compared to a jacked Cavill. And damn if Cavill doesn't look just like the Witcher in the video game.
 
Caught up on Andor and it’s really good. Doesn’t move as fast as most Disney plus shows, but they’re stretching it out in 12 episodes. Good characters, good writing, no Jedi magic.

Took a couple episodes for me to get into it, but it was really good. But I still miss the Force or light sabers in any Star Wars universe :lol:
 
Andor is really good. Surprised me. I thought it was a dumb idea for a show.
 
Wrath of Man. Guy Ritchie movie with Jason Statham.

Gangster/Heist/Revenge movie. Not the greatest but has some interesting elements.

I did just watch Snatch again, this time with the subtitles turned on so I could understand what Mickey was saying.
 
HBO cancels Westworld after Season 4. Show's creators say they planned to tie everything together in Season 5.

I am half done with Season 2. Guess I'll quit now and not waste anymore time.

She's innocent. If you watch the entire trial you will come to the same conclusion. Or read the Baez book.

Grandma left the ladder to the pool down and she drowned. Dad found her and rather than being labeled one of those careless deadbeats that lets your grandchild drown he put her in a garbage bag and sealed it with duct tape just as he had with several pets over the years. And dumped her in the woods. And Casey made up stories to try to cover it. Casey might have been a shitty mom but she didn't kill her child. IMHO
