🤬Bitch Bitch thread

Renewed AAA. Cards never came. But AAA doesn't just forget to mail out cards.

Our shit fuck ass mail person, who changes on a weekly basis, is still giving me different neighbors mail all the time. Which means a neighbor got my AAA cards and is too much of a cunt to return them to me. Now I don't care who it was, none of my neighbors get their mail back.

Just found out my last German uncle took his own life. He was 81. We think he was expecting a cancer diagnosis and didn’t want to go through it.

Sorry to hear that. Guy I knew fairly well from work did the same thing. I was taking my mom to chemo and when we got on the elevator he was getting off. I said Hi Doug and he just kind of stared at me. Found out he was just diagnosed and went home, went out on his dock and laid so his head was over the water, so as not to leave a mess we surmised, and blew his brains out. Unfortunately he was in his late 50s.

Knew 2 people do the same, both with terminal cancer. A friend when I was younger, his grandfather lived with them. He blew his head off with a shotgun....while they were all home. My favorite high school teacher who I stayed in contact with for a while, he did a lot for me (was also a good friend of my moms). His wife was our substitute when he was out. She went out out into the field behind their house while he was teaching and slit her wrists my junior year. She was a super nice lady, but clearly had no desire to wait out the cancer. I wish I could say those were the only 2 suicides I've known, but there's been...3 others I think?

I don't blame them, really. I've watched plenty of my relatives waste away from cancer, go through chemo and shit, and die anyway. Fuck that. If that shit happens to me, I'm burning down the sobriety wagon and going whole hog into booze. Although I'd like to think I wouldn't do anything too traumatic for my daughter. Go to a state with assisted suicide or something.

Oh and Sorry Doc.

Clients....head in the clouds. A local church hires us to design the site for their new church over in the far east side on a heavily wooded lot. First, their building is pretty large. Then all the shit that has to accompany that...parking lot, stormwater pond, etc. The cost of tree mitigation (you can't just cut down trees, you have to pay the city for each one you cut down based on size). Tree mitigation cost? $165,000. Their large church building, even a prefab style building....factor in labor, plumbing, electrical, etc....You're looking at a 2 mil project from start to finish. I finish the plans. And just like that, the project is dead. Why? Because the church has a $65,000 budget.

What. The. Fuck. Ok, so just because you knew an architect that designed the building pro bono, you assumed people were going to donate materials and an extensive amount of time also? Good. God.

For the fourth week, in a row, on a Tuesday/Wednesday, my home is under a level 3/4 risk for severe weather. Including EF2+ naders.

I am just about ready to move to Southern Utah or similar.

How the fuck does the bitch thread make it to page 2

The city is supposed to pick up bulk materials from home projects the same day as scheduled delivery without my having to contact them. Ok, I don't actually expect that to happen because it's just a claw picking up a garbage can, no one to get bulk items. So they usually leave a note or something that it will be picked up.

an entire fucking month after and I still have rolls of carpet and padding (all cut to less than their max length and weight required). A. fucking. month. Just emailed them. They have 3 days before I have to call and piss in their ear.

Yeah, that sucks, even worse for the dudes that are going to have to pick up carpets that's had a month to soak, probably weighs 8 times what it did.

Yep. I waited until the day to put it out there and make sure no rain got it. It barely rained for weeks. Now it's poured the last 2 nights. Welp, shitheads should have done their job.

After tempting fate one too many times my sister got a DUI last night. Currently at the bondsman waiting to get her out. This should make her upcoming custody battle interesting.

She's in for a world of hurt. Assuming it's her first DUI, she's going to have a shitload of conditions to comply with and spend a fuckton of money even if she takes an early plea deal and doesn't spend a zillion dollars on a lawyer.

Yeah I only have 1 friend who has a DUI who talked about it. I was floored at the fines and shit he had to pay.

Yeah. This is going to suck bigly for her. I warned her a million times and told her to call me if she needs a ride. I guess she thought she was untouchable.

I never thought I was untouchable, I just rarely thought about it at all....I was on auto pilot. Our brains aren't working rationally or logically and it sounds like she has a problem as it is, a typical AA attendee

Using friends for contracting work is sketchy. I've used a friend who owns a contracting business for a few jobs over a couple years. Good work, not great. Usually it's 2 workers, one "skilled" and the other not with 2 different wages. The skilled working is another friend of mine whose gone through some hard times.

Had some work done recently. Removing the broken, odd sized 5' french doors and expanding that opening, replacing it with the 6' french doors from my living room. Then I replaced the living room doors with windows. I already went straight to the worker friend and had him come fix some shit, like one window not being level with the other, so I didn't throw him under the bus to the owner friend. The worker jsut stopped by with the invoice. Both guys were charged at $35/hr (notably higher than my last job). For the half decent work I received, the $1900 bill is hard to swallow. It's not worth getting a friend in trouble at work or losing a friend over. I can hide or disguise a lot of the issues when I replaster and texture the wall. But fuck am I pissed at the same time.

Don't use friends for work. Go elsewhere and then ride their ass over every single little thing.
