Ordered pizza tonight. Papa Johns now sends you a PIN number that the delivery person punches into hand machine thing.

The pizza is already late. I see the guy drive by, drive sup and down the road, gets lost, and then I get a text saying from Papa Johns saying he's lost. Normally, the driver would just call me if they can't find it. Odd. I walk outside and just yell at him because he's literally parked in front of my driveway at this point.

"Evenin', how's it going?" - No reply from him. He only says "Pin". I tell him. He stares at the machine. He says "Pin" again. I tell him again and he still stairs at the keypad. Finally he says, "No English" and hands me the machine to punch it myself.

Good God, the dumb spic doesn't even know numbers? What if I paid in cash? That is fucking absurd. If you don't speak English, you have no business being hired into a position dealing with customers.
 
Comments from GRU come in on one of our projects. The reviewer points out a discrepancy where a 6" PVC sewer line connects to a 2" Force Main.

Uhhhh...She somehow ignored the fucking lift station they're connected to. How is this woman in a reviewers position and doesn't know the most basic of sewer design?

MF Delta! Those fks have completely lost my bag Tuesday on my flight to MEM, no clue where it is, they said 21-30 days before they’ll begin to process the claim. Might need to contract @Juggs to be my agent, and burn them TF down.

A lot of wood has to be imported though because of ridiculous and ineffective Endangered Species Act nonsense, but that's a longer term issue.

Second bigger bitch - company get-togethers. If there is an agreement that i am not social and you will never see me, someone give me a heads up before I decide to go and let me know if you are calling c suite and directors up in front of hundreds of people to talk about the great job they're doing and have their subordinates talk about them. Again, no valium. Holy hell.

The entire Atlanta area is a shit show. If I go to visit my parents, I get off 75 at Macon and go the rest of the way sacrificing speed for my sanity. It may be an hour or two quicker, but Atlanta at the wrong time could add way more than that. I refuse to drive through it.

Yeah, company functions suck. I never went to that shit. Over 20 years at my last company and I never once went to any company function that was not at the office.

I miss valium. I've only had it when I was in the detox unit those.....5 times :lol: 10mg valium every 6 hours, a life saver....and once the withdrawals started to lessen, it was great.
 
Group text/emails, hate.

We use Teams for work...now there's only 5 of us, but damn they can go on and on with group conversations that I don't care about, so I have notifications turned off. Coworker tries to message me yesterday after I was done for the day, just a simple question. I didn't see it until 7pm. Told the dude over and over, if you need to ask me something after 2pm, text or call me. I won't turn on notifications to have my phone blow up every afternoon.
 
Pissed. I held off for a week waiting for my bonus. There's a knife I've been wanting for a while, small business. It was in stock with various scales on a couple websites. I look this morning, out of stock. Every single website I can find (like 6), out of stock. Sent out a few emails, including the knife company....

Next production run - Next August. Mother fucker. There's one, just one, on ebay. Looks good, not the scales I'd have selected....but possibly a slightly rounded tip from an amateur sharpener, so not stabby pointy. Not the end of the world, but $355 used on a $400 knife.....ehh

I was just looking at some bulk .308 ammo.....Prices haven't gone up too much, but what's available....eh. I try not to vary my ammo too much and end up with different results from what I sighted in the scope with. Oddly now I'm seeing some negative reviews about long distance for Winchester White Tail....I've only shot it at 100 yards.
