đź“°News 2024 Cone of Uncertainty Thread

Well a big part is the total lack of news coverage and the stories on the ground vs fema doing cya videos but not posting any footage of them helping anyone, which would be a good way to prove they are.

Tampa's gonna get a long overdue deep soak.

I know it moves faster in the gulf, but damn....it's barely moved for a day and a half, then it's gonna cross the gulf in 24 hours or a little more?

Good. God. The gas lighting X people I usually agree with are now on X calling Milton another government conspiracy, created and guided hurricane to hit Florida. Because 2 hurricanes this time of year hitting red areas is not a coincidence....in OCTOBER!!!
I guess those fucktards don't know Tampa is as blue as California.

Just saw that Jax is under hurricane watch now. The northeast side of the storm will be the strongest once it's over land, and the strong winds from the west will likely energize the storm. Glad I don't live on the river.

Is that the quadrant where tornados end up?

Yep. We had a direct hit with Ivan in '04, took out the 300 ft towers from the power plant and damaged the plant itself. It still holds the record for number of tornados generated by a landfalling hurricane. Pensacola was in the northeast section.

The Hurricane Ivan tornado outbreak was a three-day tornado outbreak that was associated with the passage of Hurricane Ivan across the Southern United States starting on September 15, 2004, across the Gulf Coast states of Alabama and Florida as well as southern Georgia before ending in the Middle Atlantic Coast on September 18.

The outbreak killed 7 people and injured dozens of others across several states from Florida to Pennsylvania. The hurricane itself killed at least 90 people from the US to the eastern Caribbean Islands. Overall, it produced 120 tornadoes, surpassing the record of 117 that was previously held by Hurricane Beulah during the 1967 Atlantic hurricane season.<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Ivan_tornado_outbreak#cite_note-HurrTor-7 Ivan also produced 16 more tornadoes than Hurricane Frances, whose associated tornado outbreak struck many of the same regions about ten days earlier. The tornado outbreak was also the largest in Virginia history.

Yeah, Ivan spawned a tornado across the lagoon from us that killed a guy.
Red is the tornado path, yellow circle is where the guy died.

Helene hitting Asheville is proof that God hates Dems & especially Dem Trannys
I've repeatedly pointed out Asheville, the largest populated city affected (to my knowledge) by Helene to the X liberals who keep saying Helene was God's revenge for Trump since it hit only red areas. Now I'm reading the same stupid shit about Milton coming at Florida.

After the DeSantis/Kamala drama that Kamala tried to create, Biden just nuked the shit out of her. I'm now convinced Biden is doing his best to undermine her at every chance. He's embarrassed her a few times now.

The latest NOAA path has bumped the eye of Milton from the coast to Orlando indicating a speed up, but it's current location has barely moved in almost 2 days....their diagrams don't really make a lot of sense.

He's a much better politician than her. She's just out of her element. No person with power would ever admit that a Governor didn't take their call. It makes her look weak as shit. She's just flailing and being fucking stupid is her safety space.

Just saw an update that models are conflicting right now. The Euro model had the storm at 960mb today, but it just dropped to 918mb. Also the euro model has it hitting more south, but hi res models still have it hit closer to Tampa. Just gotta keep watching it I guess.

Literally the worst person to pick a fight with. He never ever gives in and will always have the receipts. Like with trump he might get distracted and argue in a way that makes him look bad but desantis never loses focus

My brother is a GC and a PM for a big construction company. He borrowed this for the storm. Lol.
