Yeah, that doesn't sound right to me. Sometimes, plea deals go south because the judge doesn't want to accept the deal but the prosecution just can't charge you with something else after you enter a guilty plea.

A little googling tells me that the longest sentence handed down so far was to Thomas Webster, who went to trial and was convicted of assaulting a law enforcement officer, among other charges. He got 10 years.

A news story....Journo on the scene of this terrible hate crime! Corresponding with the news anchor in the studio. This hate crime was the vandalism of a LGBTQ2345345 flag that was only a month old.

What's the detail they neglect to mention....this flag vandalized....was painted ON A STREET. Imagine that after a month of traffic, there's eventually a skid mark or something on it.

There was one in Delray or Lake Worth a year or 2 ago and the kid got like 2 years probation and had to get some kind of counseling.

Yep. I almost commented on my old church’s FB page after a video collage of anti hate, pro trans jibberish basically saying exactly that. I thought better or it and just unfriended all of them.

If anything the issue is classist. Anyone who can afford to drive is polluting the air that non-drivers breathe. Of course, those non-drivers better not take the bus, ever, because that single bus pollutes more than all the cars of everyone who would fit on that bus.

Such a bullshit article. He talks about how all the freeways go through minority areas, then shows a map where 2 of them are almost 100% surrounded by white areas. He explains that THOSE 2 were put there because of geography(mountains in the way i guess), but the ones in minority areas were put there because of RACISISMCISM!!!!!

The biden admin's budget this week has 1.8 BILLION dollars for environmental justice across agencies. this nebulous concept will make it harder to build roads or anything and drive up costs which guess who that hurts? poors of all races. also right now EPA (which the biden admin wants to increase the funding of by 20% lol) is lowering the fine particulate/soot level based on absolutely junk science (yes I will be writing comments on how dumb it is).

I am hoping that some of this massive federal overreach on the topic of EJ gets to SCOTUS under its current makeup, because most of this stuff was not granted by Congress. There is no EJ act, they are trying to misuse the Civil Rights Act and Clean Air Act to set up giant grifts for their donors without federal authority. However, states are mostly filling the gap and guess what you get called if you question the junk science?

you really should read it, its a remarkable example of how the academic system has been perverted to push an agenda. Activitists decide something is an issue, and then gets government to fund a "study" that just happens to back up what the activists/hustlers/government shills want to happen.
