It's definitely not that simple. They ran out of new ideas a long time ago. And all these characters go black during the woke movement by Disney, who openly expressed their wokeness and the CEO says her 2 year old is trans? You think it's just lack of creativity as being the sole reason?RIP said:I can say with 95% certainty that it is done because making new shit is hard. Take an old character, change the race, and voila! New movie!Irish Mike said:If it was just occasional it would be no big deal, but it seems like a concerted effort to make every originally white character black or brown.
Even when it doesn't make a bit of sense.
And my only REAL problem is the hell that would be paid if the race swapping went the other way.
After they adapted everything to live action the logical next step was to play with skin color for new generations.
Meanwhile, Velma is suddenly a lesbian after being in Scooby Doo for 60 years? The gay stuff forced into Buzz Lightyear? Yeah, I don't buy it.
DC has done well (not compared to Marvel, but well enough) remaking Batman and shit 2734 times without having to turn Batman black. They've remade a ton of movies because they couldn't find new ideas without pandering....so it's just Disney that has no creativity? I'm not saying it's not somewhat of a factor, but to say that's THE reason? No way
