In choosing to date only conservatives the last year and having discussed politics with a variety of conservative people, from country folk to city hipsters, every one of them confirmed what I've said for a while now. Most of us that now consider ourselves "conservative" are pretty damn middle ground. We're fairly socially liberal, but the antics of the far left have pushed us to the point of saying fuck off to even rational democrats. And even the Libertarians being hijacked, it's made a lot of us go from being willing to vote D or R or LP, whoever was truly the best candidate to voting straight republican ticket as a fuck you to the left lunatics.
I use to never vote for anyone I wasn't educated about, like judges. Now? R, R, R, R, R, R, R. Because whether it's truly accurate or not, I don't just any liberal to be rational and not pander or cave to the woke mob.
Yeah there’s a recent article that Dems are becoming extinct in rural areas, no one wants to admit it.
It amazing how fast Dems squandered good will with utter incompetence. It feels like it will be hard for Dems to come back from this. Independents, minorities, esp Asians and Hispanics are leaving in droves, and it’s not just one issue. It feels like it will take a while for Dems to win back these people, and only a very talented moderate will be able win them back
