Dump Trucked on I-595 while crossing on foot...WTF?

Haskins was attempting to cross the westbound lanes of Interstate 595 on foot when he was hit by a dump truck around 6:37 a.m., according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Haskins was pronounced dead at the scene, and authorities said it was "unknown" why he was walking on the interstate.

"This is an open traffic homicide investigation," Florida Highway Patrol spokeswoman Lt. Indiana Miranda told Fox News. "No further information will be released until the investigation has been closed."

my friend was run over, just his foot out of idiocy. he was arguing with his roommates while drunk going home from a party and demanded to be let out on the highway (he opened the door threatening to jump so they pulled over). Then he staggered down the road and of course got hit. Then we all took his pain meds and he cut his cast off.

Young drunk people are stupid.

I get there's a default status they have to report......but labeling it a "traffic homicide" when he was crossing a fucking interstate in the dark? That sounds like suicide and it's most certainly not homicide.

When it comes to traffic deaths, "homicide" is just a catch-all term for any type of cause.
