Speaking of guns...

So California passes a law where victims of shootings can sue gun manufacturers.

Wonder how long it will take a court to shoot it down.

doc explained to me why that wouldn't work but I forget why he said.

also I read this npr article where everything is always racist and this part make me lol and think of juggs

They just moved in a couple of weeks ago. And they are feeling a little apprehensive about being an African American family moving from the city into a tiny rural town that is nearly 90% white, according to census data. There's a bit of a culture clash too.

"Moving to country Georgia where there's an ammo shop down the street, it's like a constant in your face," Danielle says.

But the couple says the neighbors seem friendly. There are other families with kids. So they're feeling hopeful.

its all there, the assumption that white people are racist and pearl clutching over an ammo shop because naturally all the white people want to shoot any black neighbors! they seem friendly but who knows??? they've seen jordan peele movies and are taking their very lives into their hands to get a house
Country blacks hate city blacks. Plenty of them proudly wear the "stars and bars". The reality is it's highly improbable that they have anything to worry about. I've been through a lot of rural Ga. and stopped in many of the towns at one point or another; I can't say the ratio looked to be 90% white.

Yeah, there is no shortage of black peoples in rural Georgia.

NOR recently had a segment on how all white people had a huge advantage because all of our ancestors got homesteads. None of mine did. My husbands dad grew up in a shack in the shadow of a big factory with alcoholic parents and had to dumpster dive to feed himself, and got out of poverty by joining the military.

Did your ancestors get this homestead windfall?

Does a family of 5 living in a 1 bedroom basement apartment in NY while both my parents worked 2 jobs and having to have the church provide us with clothes and furniture when we first moved to Florida count as a homestead windfall?

That sounds pretty exotic Irish

Yeah I have never been around the high volume of privileged people as there are here who have no inkling. One my friends here described it as “oh you didn’t have your own golf coach?” I never really realized that my family was poor because people in my hometown were mostly worse off.

Yes and no. Did my ancestors have a homestead? Yes. And a couple slaves right up until the civil war. I had some pretty wealthy ancestors who lost it all in the war. But they didn't "get" homesteads. They lived in a fort with a small amount of English in Jamestown. They bought land from one of Pocahontas' brothers. They built their homestead with their own hands out of logs that they built. They defended them from Indian attacks. They moved south and helped settle shitty areas like Southern Georgia and Live Oak, FL .

Liberals would call that all manner of names. I call it conquering and having the balls to explore and risk your life to live free.

one of my great great grands was rumored to have shot and hid and buried a Shawnee the family story goes who was drunk and intending to rape her, and they had to hide his body or face massacre. Who knows if its true.

I don't think it was a homestead though, maybe.

My ancestor was granted a large tract of land in VA, when it was still a colony. He shared the grant with a friend, and over the next couple of generations, the friend's family bought mine out.

Oh, yeah... the friend was George Washington's grandfather, and the land is now Mt. Vernon.

New bill in the house banning "assault" weapons, specifically mentioning 45 variations of AR's and many more, high capacity magazines, blah blah the usual. This one specifically words it that they can continue to be manufactured to be sold to the US Government, Police Departments, and even retired police. Just not us.

Existing in ownership are grandfathered in. But you're a fool if you don't know that the first mass shooting that happens with a grandfathered in AR will lead to the banning of those, too. And then when a mass shooting happens with handguns.....yep.

Anyone notice the msm is ignoring the fact a legal gun owner took down a mass shooter at a mall?

It happens more frequently than people think and the MSM always ignores it.

I brought this up to some retard on twitter who said all guns should be banned. He replied, "More people stop mass shooters with hands and fists than AR's". Of course I responded, "Proof? Because I can cite FBI data to show how many crimes are reported having been stopped by armed citizens. And are you saying that because if your point is true, that somehow invalidates the crimes prevented by armed citizens?".

Is there anything the liberals believe that isn't cult like?

NPR and Fox radio news both reported it.
Yep, I said NPR.

They reported on the shooting but did they hail the hero?

Called him a good Samaritan and quoted the police calling him a hero.

Yeah, I was shocked.

My twitter now says I have 0 followers and I'm following 0 people. I can't even do anything other than read in Chrome, not just my app. I received no notice of any violation from twitter.
