📰News Russia invades Ukraine

Here’s a shock: If America were invaded, fighting age democrats would flee instead of defend America;

https://www.nationalreview.com/2022/03/yes-if-america-is-ever-invaded-you-must-take-up-arms-and-fight/?fb_news_token=OLOb+rq+x3dk5G1MsRsEGw%3D%3D.9lSikha5EmouqO4uxmDl+O61mIW2HwmvrO5Bkk15LHQVCEA8oNhCa7K6DsoImVERF13ji989CEDGSKBHdwVG8Cdy6WIXYTipHr/92VPAKr/9Hwc0YSTOF2wx7Q/D5vyj55n3+yXe7CaK2ITfr8OVUy8hURlmskGs0zS4L1MSVEEb2GCltWasvKES9wsCBMelewaDmu+WN9Q8VUludqC7ZdS262p+y+KiptMiyh7werqS/gtNiUoHoLQT7MkzzRIbigq9yEhGfiVYXR2oIwK9T83XCDlgRc6Wuqoivfr821s1JaGCPK9hz2PwPBmunEDOHYnYXCXciTEIuZWPe907jciVNFOaOVdBpxIsx8jEZWE%3D

Yeah it’s not the only reason, but we’re sort of used to people in Syria or Africa getting brutally killed for no reason. The Ukrainians look like us maybe hotter, dress the same, appear to have similar values. It’s easier to sympathize.

That said obvi it’s global stability, Democracy in Europe, and a country we talked into giving up nukes vs our main enemy for 50 years. It’s not all about race but that’s a part of it, so truer than most bullshit that dumb bitch says

Fair. But we supported Afghanistan vs. Russia also. I think it has more to do with who the President is than race. Obama admin gave Crimea to Russia, not a Pub.We could say that we're concerned about Ukraine because of the Biden's sketchy ass financial ties to them.

Yeah I’ve heard that too. That’s a problem when you have a presidents family members making $$$$ off a connection to a lifetime politician, and a media cover it up as “disinformation”

I think a lot of Biden’s fuck ups are more stupid ideologues and his ineptitude, but the fact this is out there means people are going to have that doubt and it further erodes trust in institutions.

I think the worldwide ramifications of this draws the interest and concern more than the color of the people's skin.

A nuclear power and 70 year enemy conducting the largest land war in Europe in 80 years is a little more worrisome than hutus/tutsis, or azerbaijan/armenia. Not that that shit isn't horrible, but it just doesn't really have the chance to draws us all into WW3 like this situation.

exactly. I don't think its wrong to say that appearance plays a factor though.

It isn’t wrong to relate more to people who look the same as you do, it’s natural. The people who complain about other doing it also defend their culture and relate to people who are like them as well. It doesn’t mean that we don’t care about the plight of people who are different it just hits different. It’s more of seeing/fearing yourself in the same position when it happens to similar people rather than just feeling sorry for someone else’s plight. But race baiters are going to use anything they can to push their narrative.

Next up: Cluster Bombs and Chemical/Bio Weapons. Huzzah!

Speaking of biological weapons....Apparently there's been questions if Ukraine has biological weapons to which the the left called conspiracy theories. And now the white house admits at the least, Ukraine has biological research labs and they're worried the Russians are currently looking for them.

Kind of interesting to go to kremlin.ru and read the phone call read outs. Everybody is calling Putin like WTF, dude? and he sets them straight on the real situation over there. Evidently Ukraine was ready to take Donbass and this is all a defensive action.

So Polod invokes 9/11 and Pearl Harbor in an attempt to guilt trip America into fighting their war for them. Interesting.

Well those are the closest ideas we have of being attacked, even though they were one offs vs constant shelling and invasion. Other than Red Dawn obvi. He would have the migs if he’d dropped that.

Yeah I get it, but the whole message I heard was kinda incoherent. Trying to prey on our sympathies but tying that into being the world power who needs to take care of the rest of the world. Really Ukraine, did you help us after 9/11? The whole thing just came off as weird instead of just saying help us unless you want to keep giving countries to Putin. He was really putting Biden on the spot....which is a terrible idea since he's, well, Biden.

I'm really only loosely following it because it's hard for me to give a shit if Putin has Ukraine or not. I just don't give a shit. As far as I can tell, if NATO so much as creates a no fly zone, we're starting WW3. So either we let Ukraine fend for themselves, more or less, or we start a world war and hope Putin doesn't feel backed in enough/crazy enough to nuke someone. Not much in between from what's being reported.

Well Biden has followed what Congress and everyone else is pushing, so it was a smart move for him to get weapons because they can make Biden look bad if they're mostly in agreement and he's pussing out.

Well the cold war started with Russia just rolling into or not leaving a bunch of countries. We're still better off with a democracy there, even if its corrupt, vs. a communist dictatorship.

Bleeding Russia dry is always good, so feeding Ukraine with weapons im all for. I think we should let Finland and Sweden in NATO immediately

It’s hilarious how many troops Russia is losing in comparison. Same WW2 mentality. Throw men in the way, who cares how many die. Sucks for them though.

Is bleeding Russia fry a good thing? I don’t think there’s a good answer without knowing Putin is sane enough to not nuke someone if he loses his shit

Saw a headline that said Russia may have lost 15,000 men so far. That is insane if true.
