I think there are still barriers to women and POC for certain things (generally it is a class issue which means poor white men also face certain barriers), but way less than in the past and yeah acting like there's oppression is stupid, at the same time asking us to not notice that men are winning women's sports and woman of the year.

Very true. The pro-trans movement is the most oppressive thing women have experienced in decades. How do feminists and liberals justify the hypocrisy? I've yet to see a any kind of explanation on that. Not even a bad reason, no reason at all. It's just ignored altogether.

Everyone has hurdles to some extent, it's the cries of oppression I take umbrage with. As the people from communist countries who escaped to freedom often say, "If you're openly complaining about oppression, you don't know what oppression is"
 
yeah well exactly. We in the US have it better than nearly anywhere else, and if you look at the achievement level of nearly all immigrants it exceeds US born white and black people.

I think its because stuff like "woman of the year" and college sports don't really impact my job or getting a loan or anything real in day to day life since I don't have kids - and I'm guessing a lot of older feminists are in the same boat. There are a few that speak out like JK Rowling and look what they've done to one of the richest most accomplished self made women on the planet! Leaving her out of Harry Potter tributes when it was all her idea! people have to look at that and say if they can do that to her, what are they going to do to me?

On that note, I saw another video of a black woman complaining about systemic racism and there aren't enough minorities in Universities. Then the facts were given to them, % of race in American colleges from bottom to top go like this: White, Black, Indian, Asian"....there was another in there at the top as well.

So all this racism, yet there are fewer whites as a % in college than any other race in the country.

How unfair!
