đź“şTelevision Movie/tv thread

The wife and I have been re-watching :lost: on Netflix. Still holds up in many respects, but the first 3 seasons have too much filler. TV has changed a lot since the early 2000s; the best shows only have 8-10 episodes per season, not a full 24 like it used to be.

Overall I think it holds up really well. Is there filler that can get old on a rewatch? Yes. Would I prefer that to these 6, 8, 10 season episodes? Fuck yes. What makes Lost hard to rewatch for me is the flashbacks (or later, flash forwards) that I FF through.

I watched most of 3 Body Problem. Decent show, entertaining, interesting spin on aliens, gets better as it goes along. And right when it really starts to get good, it's already at the end of the 8 episode series. Wait who knows how long for S2.

Beverly Hills Cop 4 was ok. Wasn't hilariously funny, but it was just a simple movie very similar to the 1st one. Better than I expected.
That's what I liked about it. I didn't expect it to be hilarious (though I didn't expect it to be as serious as it was), I did expect it to try too hard, which it didn't. Simple entertainment.

Re-watched the original Piranha lastnight. Still a decent flick... except for when the golden retriever gets eaten. Made me want to kill fish.

The best thing in that trailer is going back to Falcon with a CA theme. He has no super powers, just giving him a shield does nothing, he'd get his ass killed real quick. But if it takes most of the movie to get to that point, snoozer. He was barley shown, but I have a feeling Espisito (sp?) will steal the show even though he's basically the same character in every tv show and movie.
