📺Television Movie/tv thread

My wife started watching Supernatural last night, so I guess I'm watching Supernatural.

Only 17 season to go.
One of my favorite series ever, it's damn funny. A little teenie bopperish in the very beginning and then it drags on in much later seasons. But they really grow as actors...Well, Dean does. Sam not as much.

Probably the best thing they do well for quite few seasons is mix in the primary plot line, random monster hunts, and other nonsense/humor so it's not always the same thing episode after episode. It can jump around and it keeps it a little fresher when you consider there are 22 episodes for 17 seasons.

You're 2 or 3 seasons away, but I'm saying it right now. I defy you to not LOL at the episode, "Mystery Spot".

Wheel of Time Season 2 has dropped but I have no memory of who anyone is or what they’re doing. Rosamund Pike is pretty, though.

Sounds similar to Blacklist in length & getting better as it progresses

So yeah, I remembering enjoying Season 1 well enough and knew I'd watch S2....but holy shit did they take forever to release S2. Even with their recap, I barely had a clue what was going on. It didn't start out where/how I recall it ending in S1. S2 isn't terrible, but not really that good either.

For All Mankind on Apple+ is damn good so far. I'm into season 2 and the Russia/US tensions are ratcheting up. I'm really impressed with Apple's original content.

Looks good if you get past the same old plot done a million times, only at Christmas. I'll watch.

It'll be better if he's an ordinary dude instead of yet another retired spec ops or assassin character.

Revenge stories are as old as time.

It's John Woo. Maybe you're just racist.

I can't be racist, I like Asians.

Ok, mostly the women

And I get it, I still love me some revenge movies. Hopefully there's just some originality to it in some form. John Wick with the Continental and rules within assassins, that was a new twist in revenge movies that worked well. The "I'm retired with a family" trope is just old (thanks, seagal, for murdering that genre) which is why I hope he's just a normal dude.

It looks like he may be a normal dude who works out and trains up before he goes on his spree. Also, he can't talk - rumor has it that the whole movie is without dialogue.

I'm curious if he's a mute, takes some weird vow of silence, or what.

If he's a normal dude, taking a year to train until the next Christmas makes sense instead of just waiting for what I assume is the anniversary

Hmmm...heard that somewhere before..wonder where?

Read a synopsis and he gets shot in the neck or something during the initial attacks and lost the ability to speak.

I hope if I’m ever murdered at a sketchy estate sale my husband goes on a well planned rampage of those responsible
I'd do it. Well, not for you

I mean, I may or may not have been seconds away from shooting a guy during rush hour by a major intersection just for creeping on my daughter. God help anyone who ever actually hurts her.
