📺Television Movie/tv thread

Re-Watched Band of Brothers for the millionth time and almost through the Pacific. BoB is so damn good and the Pacific is so relatively bad. On opposite end's of the spectrum for inciting empathy in the characters and the events.

Just finished rewatching BOB a couple weeks ago. Always great. A little less so towards the end when half the good characters are gone and less fighting, but still great.

Ahsoka was a solid series, easily the best Star Wars show since Mandalorian season 1.

"The Drop" 2014 Tom Hardy/ James Gandolfini

Never heard of this. Popped up on Max.

Really good, street level gangster/crime/thriller pic.

Not a shoot em up piece, more like a character study. Great story and great ending. Tom Hardy was awesome in it. So was Gandolfini(his last role before he died)

Supporting actor with some Belgian name I can't spell or pronounce was great too.

4.5 beers out of 5.

S5 of Mayans. Only part way in, but not terrible. Kinda lame how the show took the same blueprint from Sons. Took the intelligent, well liked young guy who noble intentions and turns him into a murder happy lunatic who mostly just gets his own men killed.

But the intro of the crazy Son who's kind of a Negan ripoff....loves to talk and act emotional to fuck with his victims; I enjoy him.

Never even bothered with that show

Fall of the house of Usher is pretty interesting so far. They make sure they cover every letter in the lgbtq universe, but it’s a good story and good actors. Was really hard to watch on the a plane, tons of NSFW stuff in there but they leave the lgbtq stuff out of most of that.

It seems like literally everyone on the show is gay. It's so force fed. I liked the show though.

Yeah, it was extremely in your face with quantity of non-cis, but they didn’t really make it a thing like some other shows have. It was kind of like Startrek with people from different planets on a starfleet ship.

Oh its on my calendar. great cast other than meryl streep's talentless wooden kid.
No idea who she was, so I had to google. And solely looking at IMDB revealed a quasi spoiler that might make you happy.

She's only in 11 episodes. She was in every S1 episode and the S2 premier. That means S2E2 is the last we'll see of her.

These newer Apes movies are surprisingly good. It will break my heart if they end on a remake of the original, though.
