they obviously had to do a slow roll setup, just like they did with Boba. I tried to overlook that aspect in the first episode or two knowing it'll get better in episode 3-4. But I agree, I wasn't happy with that plot and my God I wanted to bitch slap Leia. Snotty, spoiled, back talking little pain in the ass. Follow 1 simple fucking direction. She was flat out annoying.

I’ve been reading like a mfr, primarily historical fiction on Rome, but have enjoyed Joe Pickett, read a few of those books.

The best I can assume is that Vader was ok with the him running, living in fear, and Vader's own arrogance that he'd easily find him at this point. Otherwise it's just terrible writing, which isn't like these guys.
