Fuck, I'm listening. Most interesting part to me is that who the 3 eyed raven/tree man was before he was a tree. They never mentioned skin changers in the show.
It does touch on something I've found annoying in the show. Princess is heir and he holds firm to that, yet he still treats her like an outstanding. Ignores her opinion, she has zero voice on the council, etc. She's old enough to not be shut out completely if he's really making her the heir while he's falling apart like a leper.

Shireen right before Stannis burned her alive also told the story about Aegon 2 vs Rhaeyana or whatever her name is. So Joffrey told us the very specific ending and Shireen told us the story overall.

Ned did it with honor. This cunt summoned a baby to her within literally 2 minutes of it being born. She runs all over the weak ass King with disrespect that should get her backhanded. And regardless of who the baby daddy is, she's still the heir until the King says otherwise. So what she's doing is technically is or will be treason. She very quickly let her dad manipulate her and let power go to her head.
As for the Princess, fuck their cast choice for older and also fuck their writing of making her a strong bad ass who wanted to be a warrior to cutting to her spitting out a 3rd kid and being a doting mother. Everything she didn't want to accept as a kid. Too fast of a 180 for the show when they do these time jumps.

Alicent is most definitely a cunt, but she is also looking out for her kids, not just looking for power. What her dad told her is true, those kids are good as dead if they become a challenge to Rhaynera.
I didn't mind the new Rhaynera actress as much as I thought I would. She is still weird looking, but she did a good job.
Not a fan of the time jumps either.

Alicent is going out of her way to be a cunt to Rhaenyra because they aren't BFFs anymore. Yeah, she's kind of looking out for her kids, but it seems more personal than political.

Just when it seems like there were some people worth rooting for(Aemond after getting his dragon, Rhaynera defending her kids)....
They both pull off shitty stuff that makes it so everyone sucks again.
The scene with Viserys after the fight in the dragon room was so similar to the scene in GOT where Robert orders Sansa's wolf to be killed.

Funny enough, while the writing in general is kinda weak, it was one of better episodes. Escalated the plot a lot. Before it just appeared they were headed for conflict, this episode made it clear that war is coming sooner rather than later.
Daemon is still my favorite character.
Clearly Rhaeynra's husband wanted no part of any of it since he shaved his head and sailed away. Maybe he's not as dumb as he appeared and realized it wasn't a random grudge that brought a man to kill him. But does this make her marriage to Daemon not valid since she's still married? Or was she never truly married. It's unclear if she ever fucked her husband. They said "they tried". That could mean like Renly, he couldn't get it up for a woman or he could have been infertile. I'm assuming he couldn't get it up, so the marriage wasn't consummated, thus not a real marriage by their laws.

Aegon hasn't been shown to be as big of a dick as Aemond. Aegon seems pretty clueless, in fact, but I imagine that will change when he claims the throne. Aegon isn't born directly out of incest, but remember, Aegon the Conqueror married both of his sisters and all these Targs are descended from them (some of which may have also inter-married).

Aemond learned this shit from his brother, he just put himself in the position to be the bully when he took the dragon. I don't recall Aemond being much of a bully or dick until this episode, at least nothing noticeable. Aegon was already a dick at the encouragement of Cole in the training yard. Aegon seems to be very much modeled after Viserys in GOT. Arrogant, snotty, yet stupid.

I've come around on the black Velaryons. It makes it even more obvious that Rhaenyra's kids are bastards. Not sure if that was the intent, but that's the result. Didn't Aegon say something like, "Come on, it's obvious, just look at 'em!"?

And I actually like the black Velaryons as characters in the show, but they still should have been made separate characters instead of rewriting existing ones. But agree it made the contrast very obvious, however the flaw I see is that if the Valerian DNA is so strong, both her sons shouldn't be 100% dad. That's a little too on the nose for the show's purpose. I guess she's the first one ever to have a baby buy someone with dark hair to have all this called into question?
