đź“şTelevision ?House of the Dragon (HERE BE SPOILERS!)?

I like the older Aemond casting.

The king shows some balls for once. And then all doped guaranteed a war in his final words because the Queen doesn’t know what he’s really talking about.

Daemon continues to be my favorite character.

Daemon is easily my favorite character. Not evil, a total dick, but seems like he is semi-loyal to his family.

Liked him shutting up Corlys's brother. Rhayna played it awesome. Agreed to all the King's and Rhaynera's wishes and liked like a supporter and let the hot head talk shit and lose his fucking head after making public what everyone was whispering about.

New Aemond reminds me of Jay and Silent Bob.

Do tell.

I thought it was ok.

The entire usurping. The Hand had all that shit planned out long in advance. The stupid queen hears ramblings and very misinterpreted it. Arrested everyone or executing everyone who may object. It was just annoying how it all happened and so suddenly.

I wish Aemond had killed Aegon. He’s right, Aemond did deserve it. And damn they did a good job making him look and act like Daemon. No idea why the old Princess didn’t burn them all at the end. Aside from that’d ruin the ending. But that was a great scene.

I liked it. It was revealed that most of the council had this planned except for the guy that got his head smooshed by Cristan. They had to kill our lock up those loyal to Rhaynera so it didn't bother me.

But an episode with no Daemon is weak.

It was slightly confusing. It almost sounded/looked like Aemond didn't actually mean to chomp right through the dragon/kid, but the dragon had other plans.

I think that was intentional. I get the feeling that many of the participants in the Dance of the Dragons are going to be portrayed as kind of getting dragged along into it and not fully realizing until it's too late that they're destroying their own family.

If it was, I think they did a poor job of making it look intentional. The kid flamed the big fucking dragon and it went crazy. Listen to the voice of Aemond....it sounds like he lost control of the dragon for a minute. I think he wanted an eye, he wanted to scare the kid shitless, but he was not supposed to start a war. Of course he's fine with having done so and won't feel any guilt over it....but they sure made it look like it was more the dragon than Aemond after the boy got his fire on.

Why are we using spoiler tags in a spoiler thread?

Also, is that the biggest dragon of them all? It sure looks like it.

Fuck if I know. I fell asleep last night, so I haven't even seen most of the episode. I don't really care about spoilers, since I basically know the story already.

Yes, Vhagar is the largest dragon in existence at this time. She was alive during Aegon's Conquest, ridden by Aegon's sister - only Balerion was larger.

Surely that's going to play a factor. Daemon can go on and on about having 3x the dragons as House Green, but if half of them are those young tiny things the Prince was riding, Vhagar will destroy half of them in minutes. It would take the Queen that never was, Daemon and his snake neck dragon, and the Queen's to take on that huge fucker

Book spoilers below:

You're kind of right. Rhaenys' dragon Meleys is pretty big and she thought she could take on Vhagar, due to Meleys being faster and somewhat younger than Vhagar. Unfortunately, it wasn't a fair fight - Aegon's dragon, Sunfyre, was also involved in the fight. All three dragons crashed, but Meleys and Rhaenys did not survive.

If that's true, then what Joffrey said in GOT wasn't accurate. In the tour of the crypts, he tells Margaery Tyrell that Aegon fed Rhaeny's and her son to his dragon. That seems like a stupid thing to change from the books to the show for GOT.

This is where the stupid names all sounding the same makes fools of us. Rhaenys is the Queen Who Never Was. Rhaenyera is the one who gets eaten by Aegon's dragon while her son (Aegon III) watched.
