I'd pull a knife and cut the cords.
Almost any cooking guide now actually tells you to pull it, if it's say a pork loin, while it has some pink in the center. Like chicken, the finished temp is like 30 degrees lower than it was even 20-30 years ago. Also, this isn’t the 1930’s, you aren’t going to get trichinosis from less than well done pork in the US.
hahahaha.
True, remember GAG? He'd take his wife (how he duped that much younger, much more attractive woman into marrying his stupid fats ass, I'll know never)...but his date night was for them to go to Red Lobster, get the all you can eat salads and biscuits, sharing a tea. Maybe use a coupon.
Plenty of white shit heads go out to eat too and take advantage. Now that's not the same as if an entire family goes in, orders 2 all you can eats and all chow down, which restaurants usually ahve rules against that. But it 100% happens....but I doubt that often.
The simple reality is the food isn't great, it's not cheap for what you get, and it's rarely crowded. The only restaurant not fast food beside my hotel in Orlando last January when were at Universal was Red Lobster and I had no desire to drive after being at Universal all day. It was 1/4 full and we were the only white people there. It is a predominantly black restaurant and has been for at least a decade. They were also understaffed and the service was terrible. It reminded me of Cedar River, a local fried seafood place. It's always filled with blacks, it's absurdly loud because none of them know how to talk without yelling and hollering, being all around obnoxious. Then they have to talk over the table beside them. It's like a college bar...or any sports bar where drunk white men make it intolerable to eat the restaurant portion because they're screaming at the refs at a football game across the country), except 50 year olds are acting like that.
So what's the cause of Red Lobster going tits up? Let's start with overpriced, underwhelming food. Next, it was considered fine dining, more or less, in the 80s when a town like Gainesville had few options. Everyone's a fucking foodie now, restaurants out the ass, and way better options to choose from than a place like RL. Then there's likely a COVID factor added in and inflation, they too raised their prices for the same (if not smaller portioned) mediocre food and a shit atmosphere. You can pay the same price and get far better food at better places in most towns. They're probably throwing away a bunch of food because they don't get the crowds they expected.
