🤬Bitch Bitch thread

I guess that would be difficult.
Yeah...They had to remove the frame to the attic access, step up from the garage and immediately go up into the attic, then get it 20 feet back. And those things are what, 10'x3'x3'? It wasn't a quick job  One of the guys who installed it, same guy who was here yesterday, a guy I went to school with. Good ol' country boy. He said he fucking hates those attic jobs. I told him, "why do you think you're up there and not me?"

Aside from the fact that I have no idea how to find a leak in a coil. The shitty part is, it's all because of cheap manufacturing. He said this was rarely an issue, new units leaking, when the coils were copper. Now even though prices have skyrocketed, they're aluminum and prone to leaking. Moreso in an attic with extreme heat.

My kid's bus driver doesn't fuck around. Yesterday as a neighbor was running towards the bus, 40 feet away, she didn't to wait. We told her just a few seconds. She said she doesn't wait and tried to shut the door. We told her the kid was right at here and she begrudgingly waited.

Today, every single kid missed the bus because she was well early, but a few of us were walking up there. She barely even stopped, she absolutely saw us half a block away, and just took off anyway.

Email from Verizon - You get a $10 discount for autopay. They're decreasing it to $5.

Is Verizon doing so badly they have to get $5 from customers? I'd almost rather they eliminate it altogether than insult you by acting like they're doing you a favor by letting you keep the $5 discount. Cunts.

I just had to explain how the 24 hour clock works... to a 54 year old. I so fucking hate this place. They hire the dumbest fucking people.

So I don’t know if you guys recall a few years ago I got someone I believed was a friend a job at my org and she backstabbed me and I realized she’s a psychopath?

So anywho she got another job which is fine but I just found out from a friend on a search committee for another org that she interviewed for that job and asked for like $50 k over their highest salary and they were like nope lol

I am grownup so I didn’t squeal with glee when he told me

Ugh, clients. I'm on a video call reviewing our concept plan for a downtown bar renovation/expansion. We're touching the building, so the entire site has to be brought up to city code, which is very strict in Gainesville. Way, way, way worse in the downtown area.

The client....she just can't get past all the code requirements. "Can't we just do this....", "That's our compromise with them" and my boss keeps saying, "There is no compromising, you'll get rejected. Gainesville doesn't deviate from the code". They put the building expansion in the new right of way, she doesn't want landscaping/landscaping islands, doesn't care about the dumpster accessibility, on and on and on.

No, your opinion doesn't matter. The code is the only thing that matters.

FFS some clients are the worst when they think their "wants" can override the city.

Oh God it's getting worse. We've explained the city requires a 9' landscape buffer between property and parking lots. She's trying to convince us that reducing the building expansion on the interior counts towards landscaping square footage. No, those are separate codes. The buffer is not negotiable, how many times can we say it?

My. Fucking. God. My client and the architect are the dumbest people on earth. We're remodeling and expanding 2 downtown buildings into 1 large bar. There is concrete around the east building. I asked the Architect if he were removing the existing concrete and pouring a new foundation/slab since that area will be part of the building expansion.

I get 2 separate emails back. The architect was confused and sent a message about the West side building. The client responded talking about greenspace and landscaping, also on the west side of the west building.

I tried to politely say I don't care about landscaping. There is zero landscaping in the area of concern, it's all building, and I had to send a screen shot cropping out everything but the eastern building the obviously surveyed CONCRETE.

I'm going to hate this project. This is the same client who thought the city codes didn't apply to her or that she could negotiate.
