Ended up making a friend I reckon. Met this chick online on a country dating app. She happened to be out shopping, kid free, so we met after an hour. We talk for a few minutes on the phone. She's loud, brash...it's like talking to a dude. I only saw her headshot, but despite her puffy camo jacket, I knew she couldn't be fat.
She walks up, hollering at me from across the parking lot...petite, small jean shorts, cowboy boots, baseball hot. Half Puerto Rican...fuck, she's a hot 40 year old. She told me first thing when we talked on the phone, separated for a year, waiting on the ex to sign the papers. Friends. She is friends with another guy she met. I was bored, so what the hell.
We talked non-stop for 3 hours. Half of us, like we're twins. The other half, polar opposite. She's the opposite personality of the women I date....very outgoing, adrenaline junkie, loud, cusses as much as I do.
So later on, she starts texting. Asks about first impressions, etc. She says she definitely wants to be friends and hang out again. Now over the next hour and a half of texting, she told me how cute I was a dozen times, how easy I was to talk to, blah blah blah. A lot more flattery than I gave her....because she's going to be a friend, right?
I'm actually ok with that. But I did make it clear to her....Friend means getting treated like a friend, entirely. A lot of women now do this "friends before relationship" thing. It means they're dating multiple people, telling him he's a friend, but expecting to get all the girlfriend privileges. He pays for everything, she wants to be wooed and convinced that he's the guy for her while at the same time friend zoning him when he does those things she wants. I'm not that bitch. She doesn't seem like that person, as evident by she told me the situation before we met, wanted to be completely transparent.
So she can flatter and hug me all she wants, but I'm not spending shit on her. Really cool country chick to bullshit with though. Speak of the devil, she just texted. This early, didn't expect that. Anyway, if she decides to ditch the other friends, she's gonna have to make a move. She said friends, so I perma-friend zoned myself
