I think this storm is no joke, 15-20’ surge is insane, and if it’s like Michael, it’ll wreak havoc on Tally, & further inland.

I've barely had any wind here. One or two small gusts, otherwise nothing. Almost no rain. Booooo.

They kept talking how about huge it is, but it's really not at all.
This mfr has dumped close to 10” of rain so far, with another 10” probably to go, all the way up here.

This storm sucks ass. It’s finally raining here, but light. Trees aren’t moving at all. Heard the wind howl once and it’s half over. I swear my house is a dead zone for storms.

It's pretty damn windy here now. Just had to help a neighbor 5 houses down carry their destroyed trampoline from in front of my house.

They’re scared of the storms between your ears

It finally got here. No power since 10:30 last night. Couple medium size limbs down, but my entire neighborhood is covered in old large oaks.

The funny thing is that it was a higher wind here. Chicken laid an egg in a curved chair yesterday and it didn’t budge. I have a ton of unsecured stuff in the yard and not even a small empty yard debris garbage moved and it was laying on its side already. Absolutely nothing ground level moved. Just high up in the trees. And I was stoned and asleep by the time it started :sadwalk:

Had some appliance delivery yesterday and they didn't close the french doors properly. Wind blew them open around 11pm and my family freaked the fuck out. Had a neighbors dead tree snap in half and is laying in our canal now. Going to be a bitch to get out, glad it isn't blocking me in.

Yep. Just got a text from my mom. Rockslide and washout on I40, the town nearest to them and my bro had 2 dams failed today on the small river that flows through Newport and the town is being evacuated. My niece was on her way to work in town when my bro heard. Theyre getting wrecked up there.

My parents are pretty safe on the mountain. They lost power, but they have a generator that'll power their entire house and it's connected to their huge propane tank. They could run for a few years without needing the grid. My bro and them are on property off the mountain, but well away from lowlands and the river. Just an inconvenience since it's a half hour further to go to get to a town.
