Agree, but even scifi/fantasy movies made today shouldn't be forced to have "diverse" casts. I mean, I don't care if they do, but who's to say what color people in a made-up place are supposed to be?

well Doc, in places like Luthadel, Camorr and Temerent it's obvious that people of color should make up at least 2/3 of the population...otherwise it's just racist
 
which begs the question, what percentage of the black population read Fantasy and Sci-Fi?...in my personal experience I have only seen two black people in the sci-fi/fantasy section at a bookstore...and they were actually looking for Manga...

Good math problem, black people make up 13% of the US population (yes, it's that low), scifi/fantasy genre probably attracts X% of the overall population, what percentage of scifi/fantasy fans are black. Probably an extremely low number.

I think you guys are getting a bit in the weeds / going to a sci fi convention is different than enjoying action and fantasy sci-fi movies. That’s probably quite high like black panther

Maybe, maybe not. Go to a Star Wars or Marvel movie and look at how many blacks are there. It's virtually non-existent.

That reminds me, some FB Florida page asked for a survey. I went through several pages of it before quitting, I was never going to put in my email, etc.

But most of the questions were so blatantly worded to make you evil if you agreed with republicans and want people to die and are racist if you disagree with democrats. The reason of course is that if you oppose the BBB on 9/10 issues, you're a nazi because of that 1/10 that might benefit kids or whatever

It very well could have been a site that closely mimicked the state. I didn't pay THAT close of attention and I'm too lazy to go back and look. But on the surface, it certainly looked like the state.
