I have seen a few MTF in public, it's always off-putting. I think the FTM for the most part do a better job of "passing" - the testosterone they take promotes facial hair and a lot of them are fat, which gives their frame and face some more volume. I'd wager I've seen some FTM and not really noticed anything.

Now that I think about it, I did see a FTM at a swim meet - the chest scars were a dead giveaway.
