Enviro groups are completely against any mining in the us.

You’re confusing stewardship of land by normies vs objection by the left. I read this shit for my job it’s always enviro groups suing and dem governments denying permits.

Also modern mining in the us is awesome - high paying jobs, huge boon to local economies. Most people have a 1900s idea of what it entails

Well I did mean by students.....can't say I ever had a teacher I really loathed. Mine were all pretty nice except for my 4th grade teacher, but she was nice to me. One of those who was mean as hell to stupid kids, but doted on the smart ones.
I had Mrs Dunham for 1st and 3rd grade. I remember getting my teacher assignment for 3rd and losing my fucking mind because what 3rd grader would consider the possibility of having the same teacher. I'm sure I was a pain in the ass, but I also remember her holding me up by my collar to scream at me face to face.

Navratoloa had it right, have a biological female only categorie and an open category. If you are a female who wants to compete with the best, you can go in the open category, if you are a dude who thinks he's a chick, and you just have to compete in athletics to not kill yourself, you have the open category. If you have to dominate at an athletic event to not kill yourself, go ahead and jump.

This came out a few days ago but I don't think we discussed it. The New York Times has come around to realize that DEI doesn't deliver.

Michigan’s own data suggests that in striving to become more diverse and equitable, the school has also become less inclusive: In a survey released in late 2022, students and faculty members reported a less positive campus climate than at the program’s start and less of a sense of belonging. Students were less likely to interact with people of a different race or religion or with different politics — the exact kind of engagement D.E.I. programs, in theory, are meant to foster.

Instead, Michigan’s D.E.I. efforts have created a powerful conceptual framework for student and faculty grievances — and formidable bureaucratic mechanisms to pursue them. Everyday campus complaints and academic disagreements, professors and students told me, were now cast as crises of inclusion and harm, each demanding some further administrative intervention or expansion. On a campus consumed with institutional self-criticism, seemingly the only thing to avoid a true reckoning was D.E.I. itself. “D.E.I. here is absolutely well intentioned, extremely thoughtful in its conception and design,” said Mark Bernstein, a lawyer and a Democrat who sits on the university’s Board of Regents. “But it’s so virtuous that it’s escaped accountability in a lot of ways.”

Jk - did we post this yet? The world is fucked since the last gators NC

I think we've discussed the "racism" one before, but the rest don't surprise me. I think there's a number of factors in play here. But foremost are smart phones and social media. When everyone can connect to everyone else, every fringe belief gets support and exposure. So weirdo critical race theorists, trans activists and other big brained thinkers abandon their niche internet subforums for more mainstream platforms like Twitter where sympathetic journalists start picking up on their theories. On top of that, the same type of people strengthened their strangleholds in academia and government, using social media to name and shame those who publicly commit wrongthink - resulting in a lot of big institutions (media, government, academia and eventually big tech) who have become vested in pushing "woke" ideology.

In short, cell phones are the devil. Life was better before the idiots were able to connect with each other.

I think a bigger deal is really Obama and dems realizing they could gain power with this and msm and big tech being willing participants
