šŸ˜Funny Things that amuse me

Sorry, normal people donā€™t run for higher office. Expecting them to take that responsibility but yet be like you or be ā€œniceā€ or whatever isnā€™t realistic. Normal people donā€™t want to put up with that shit. Iā€™m voting for the one that is better at keeping the federal gov from fucking up more.

I would, but it pisses me off that those are our choices, but I guess we get the representatives we deserve. I know I've said this before, I know that past presidents have been far from perfect, but I believe the POTUS should be somebody who kids could look up to and live by a higher standard. Trumps an embarrassment as a human being and his lack of character is astounding.

I'm curious. What makes him an embarrassment as a human being? Those terrible kids he raised? I realize they are not accomplished artists like Hunter.

yeah i mean if you're going to harp on Trump changing his politics, how can you leave biden out? he was an anti crime moderate for decades who was supposed to be able to unite and get things done because he knows how congress works. How is that going? what the fuck does biden stand for besides getting rich as an elected official and bending to the far left?

However funny I find it, it's not ideal to have a President who tweets insults like a petulant child. I'd prefer them to be a tad more professional in their approach to handling foes instead of like he's still on a reality show. I still voted for him, so obviously I'll take his crass behavior in exchange for realistic and sound policies. But let's not pretend he's some good guy or a role model as a human. He's kind of a dirt bag like most (or all) successful businessmen are.

Just the things he has said about veterans, military members, people who have been killed in wars is enough evidence that he is a shit person. The shit he talks on the regular is icing on the cake. I said If I could go back I'd vote for him, so I'm not sure why we're talking about Biden. You all are entitled to your opinion, but again, I expect POTUS to be a good character example.

Biden didn't change his politics IMO, he just let his true intentions be exposed as he became more senile. His voting record didn't appear to match up with his talking points all that well his entire career.

That's not really the same as Trump seeing an opportunity and cashing in. He apparently became a Christian out of nowhere? He went from mildy anti-gun to pro 2A just to run, yet still threatened to "take their guns now and worry about due process later" while in office.

The 2 are fairly different situations, though I'd also cite the "2 wrongs don't make a right". We can't just pretend Trump is some angel just because Biden is a total shit heal. That's like how liberals only defense of Biden's ineptitude is "BUT TRUMP.....". I expect us to be more realistic and practical than resorting to insulting Biden to defend Trump. We can recognize personal flaws while accepting it in exchange for good policy.

yeah he's petty as shit. But I think a lot of the stuff he said was blown up and compared to biden isn't that bad. Biden says dumb terrifying stuff all the time, he all but told Putin to invade ukraine. He's far more dangerous.

What? He said McCain wasn't a hero because he got captured. I think that was actually more tongue in cheek. But then he had to ride with it. Because he can never admit fault. A legitimate criticism in my view. But what else...the bounties on us soldiers lol? I know a number of service members and they all say he was the most veteran/military friendly president in a long time.

Ask flight lol.

Oh I agree. His tweets at the time seemed worse than they were, but really only because Biden is so much worse. His tweets were embarrassing, but they were harmless as I always said they were. While Denver kept predicting WWIII and the end of all Democracy, I always maintained his tweets and behavior would be irrelevant and leave no impact on the Nation. And they didn't. Then yeah, we get Biden basically instigating WWIII well ahead of Russia actually doing anything. Every word that comes out of his mouth is dangerous or divisive.

The problem is that the narcissism that made him a divisive asshole is also what got him elected and really motivated him to run in the first place.

I don't like Trump because I don't think he has any core beliefs. I don't think he has thought critically about the issues that he ran on. His goal was always to promote the Trump brand - I don't think he expected he would actually win.

Please tell me if you had it to do all over again you would vote for him.

I would, because I expected Biden to be more moderate.

I would rather Desantis be the R nom for 2024 because I would like someone more electable and re-electable.

hopefully Biden has soured enough people from the dem party like Carter did and we have a good economy and lower crime for a while.
