Suprised he has time to do that after feeding the fang fang honey pot :

TOPLINE Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-Calif.) has come under intense scrutiny and some sharp criticism, especially from Republicans, this month after it was revealed that a suspected spy for the Chinese Communist Party worked as a prominent Swalwell fundraiser for years—to the point she was able to influence a job hire in his Congressional office—leading to some calls for his removal from the House intelligence committee even though he hasn’t been accused of wrongdoing by authorities.
KEY FACTS
Swalwell was one of many politicians who associated with suspected Chinese spy Fang Fang (who also went by Christine Fang), but most were lower level officials—mayors or local council members— according to an extensive Axios report detailing Fang’s infiltration of American political circles.

Fang helped raise funds for Swalwell’s 2014 House re-election campaign, and had an intern hired to Swalwell’s Congressional office after receiving her recommendation.

big primary day yesterday. It looks like instead of moving to the center the dems are doubling down on progressive inflation. Moderate Dems mostly lost yesterday with bernie types winning in states like Oregon and PA. If the R's fuck this up they've only themselves to blame.

I guess this fits into "Politics":

tl;dr: Government bans synthetic fertilizers and pesticides and as a result, production falls and food prices surge. More people in poverty.

Yep, now people have started dying in Sri Lanka:

Just as with Lysenkoism or Mao’s war on birds, reliance on delusional theory rather than actual science led to famine and death.

By the time Sri Lanka opted to reverse most of its mandate over the winter, the situation had gone too far.

The turmoil spurred shortages of electricity and other goods and services in Sri Lanka. Many people have died — and scores injured — in economic- and hunger-related protests, and Rajapaksa required a military rescue this week as chaos closed in around him.

Last summer, prior to the changeover to full organic, 30 national experts wrote to Rajapaksa’s brother, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa outlining their concern over this seismic policy shift. While they recognize the goals of the president’s program, they proposed a phased, consultative approach — with actual experts — rather than cold turkey, emotive mandates.

“Prior to this policy, the government had unsuccessfully tried to commercialize farm land, which is the biggest commercial asset the country has. So many of us think this was another way to try and get farmers to leave their land, or to weaken the farmers’ position and enable a land grab,” Vimukthi de Silva, an organic farmer in Rajanganaya, told The Guardian.

Yeah it’s terrible there. There has been this leftie shift into trying to make idealogy into reality on a scale not seen since Stalin. Nearly all of the climate change activists are pushing “non industrial” farming and socialism. A lot of people are going to suffer and die, again because of idiot college professors.

“After six years dedicated to the study of disinformation and best practices in responding to it, I joined the Department of Homeland Security to be the executive director of the Disinformation Governance Board with the intention of supporting the Department’s important work addressing disinformation that affects the homeland,” she said in a statement to news outlets.

This sounds like me giving a book report in 4th grade.

The traffic engineer we sub work to, does the studies to determine peak and low rates and data to determine the size of a turn lane we're required to add to roads.....Has this as his signature.

"Censoring Disinformation = Censoring Unapproved Information"

Can't say it's the best business move to not remain neutral, but I respect it. Better than stupid pronouns

Former Fox News reporter says people should be put in jail for misinformation. On MSNBC. Fucking psychos.

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2022/05/17/carl_cameron_maybe_its_time_to_start_taking_names_and_putting_people_in_jail_for_misinformation.html

Former FOX News correspondent Carl Cameron to MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace on Tuesday: "It really is kind of horrible to think that journalists with national and international capacity are putting together this type of nonsense. I think the president did a great job. I wish he had done a lot of this a lot sooner, and we need a lot more from the left and the middle, and we got to watch out because the Republicans have become the purveyors of misinformation, and when our two-party system is broken like that, democracy is seriously in trouble. The president acknowledged that it's time to actually start doing things and maybe taking some names and putting people in jail."
