So one of my coworkers was violently mugged at gunpoint outside her home in DC a while back, she's just been able to talk about it. 9 am on sunday morning she was walking her little dog in front of her house and two teenage girls knocked her down and threatened her, with a carload of guys looking on. She ID'd them and this group had done a line of muggings all along Independence Avenue the whole night before, and the police caught them but they weren't prosecuted because that's apparently racist now.
this kind of thing has been bugging me for a while but now its affected one of the sweetest kindest people I know, thank god it wasn't worse. And this is political because of the ridiculous far left take that punishment of crime is racist so violent offenders shouldn't be punished. People say the nutty Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene are a threat to democracy and that's laughable. She and her views are laughed at by 99% of the elected Rs and they are supporting her saner primary challengers. But even if re-elected she has no real power.
by comparison the squad has dangerous fucking ideas that are rarely called out. here the lib Axios's only good journo is pressing Rashida Tlaib over her completely insane idea to close down federal prisons and let everyone out.
