It's not just younger people. As a country boy in a liberal city, the divide is even greater among people in my age range. Example: Nearly every dating profile of a woman in her 30s and older specifically say "NO Trump supporters" or "No Conservatives", "NO MAGA", etc. and often something rude to go along with it. Women who are listed as Republican or Conservative almost never mention politics in their profiles.
Thank God I met a woman a few weeks ago who's a conservative Christian and things are going great.

I think Jan 6 was terrible and a stunning failure of intel and security (which should really be investigated further), the idea it was an insurrection and that our government was in actual danger is one of the stupidest exaggerations of all time, and the stupid witch hunt as if trump staffers planned the shitshow is an amazing waste of time considering the crime wave, inflation, Afghanistan, energy costs and a million other issues.
