Finished Landman. Damn what a great show. BBT is great as usual, the character has balls of steel. Whether he's bluffing, doesn't care if he dies, or just that bad ass.....to continue to shit talk those cartel guys is entertaining to watch. Mom and daughter, can watch them all day...but holy shit mom is psycho and the daughter is dumb as rocks. The Mexican chick is hot

Watching "The Diplomat" on Netflix. It's pretty good. Kerri Russel is the new ambassador to Great Britain, but her husband is also a former ambassador and seems to be better than her at getting shit done through schmoozing the right people and she hates him for it.

Oh yeah, I was gonna post about it a few weeks ago but I took my daughter to see Wicked and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Not what I expected at all.
The two leads have been super-weird in their promotional tour for the movie, but both of them were very good in the movie. Arianna Grande was surprisingly good in her role and the black chick has a truly amazing singing voice.
Yeah, it hits you over the head a little with "oh the green skin girl is ostracized because she looks different" but that's to be expected I think.
Also, I wasn't a fan of the way they made the Wizard out to be the evil bad guy, but I guess that's in the book this is based on (NOT the original Baum stories but a book written in the 1990s).
But overall I was entertained.

Was there anything in the roles that made them go fully anorexic? They both look disgusting now.
Well, Grande was skinny but she's even worse now. Hard to say with the black girl - she was always wearing heavier clothing. Her face didn't look anorexic in the movie. But I don't think there's anything about the roles that required them to be like they are.

Grande looked healthy as a teen/early adult, like in Victorious/Sam and Cat. She didn't look skinny until later in life....I guess after Hollywood wrecked her.

It shows a scalping, some throat slitting, compound fractures, tons of gunshot wounds, and heads getting hit with axes or bashed in with rocks.

Yeah the whole thing is violent from start to finish. Very little rest in between debacles.
