Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was really good.

Really? I've heard a lot of negative shit....and not because of the "you're white, you can't see it on opening day"
I went in with no expectations and enjoyed it.

Watched it last night. Went in with no expectations, too, and it still disappointed. Fight scenes look like Power Rangers, CGI is shitty, most of the actors suck except for Winston Duke and Angela Bassett, very limited story to drag out for nearly 3 hours.

They need M'Baku to become a badass Black Panther, not 65lb Shuri.

Watched it last night and have mixed feelings. It was more entertaining than I expected. It wasn't a bad movie, it just obviously got the crazy hype because wokeism.

Most of the actors are pretty terrible though. 3 hours was long for what it was. And seriously, the entire base for the plot is retarded even for comic book world. They drank some goo and became mermaids...

"Street Kings"

Keanu Reeves, Forrest Whittaker, Chris Evans, Hugh Laurie, Terry Crews.

Unit of dirty cops doing dirty cop shit and it all falls apart. Very much in the vein of The Shield. Good action and tons of violence. Good stuff.

It's from 2008 but I never heard of it until yesterday. 4 beers out of 5.

Yep, never heard of it.

I decided to watch She-Hulk on Disney. Despite the hoopla over the 1 single "woke" clip they used to trash it, there wasn't any more of it and I actually found the series to be ok.

Last of Us is pretty underwhelming so far. The entire gay episode was mostly filler and served no real point to the story. Who TF does filler episodes at the beginning?

Personally, without Lady Mormont, the show would be a real snoozer.

1923 is still good. Had some good nudity in the most recent episode.

But... I think there's only one episode left in this season. I'm sure there will be some huge development or cliffhanger, but I was hoping Spencer would make it to Montana by the end of the season and it doesn't look like he will. Harrison Ford is reportedly returning for Season 2, so they probably won't kill him off (they could have done it already without harming the story if that was the intent),

But it wouldn't surprise me if they killed off any of the other Duttons (except Spencer - I have a feeling he's going to come in and hunt the most dangerous game). It's not clear if Jack is a nickname for John, but if it is, then we know he lives because we see an old John Dutton II as Kevin Costner's dad in Yellowstone (who I was surprised to learn was played by Dabney Coleman). I hope they keep the hot young blond Dutton wives around for a while, though.

Can’t imagine it wasn’t already mentioned on a previous board but Forged by Fire is good and up many of y’all’s alley. Don’t know how I didn’t stumble on it before it hit 9 seasons.

The Jack Dutton that just got married is Kevin Costner's grandfather. Dabney Coleman(i didn't realize that was him either) is Jack's kid.

Maybe.

The Terminal List

Started off kinda weird, but I'm about 4 episodes in and it is finding its groove. Some good violence so far.

Here are all the movie trailers that played during the Superbowl:

https://youtu.be/zOrPu9miGeQ

The Flash actually looks interesting even though the actor is an asshole. Michael Keaton's gonna steal the show, though.

Other than that, Guardians 3 is the only movie I'm interested in. Maybe see Indy 5 when it streams.

Ant Man : Quantumania

Good. Weird. TONS of shit going on. Movie jumps right in at the beginning and doesn't take its foot of the gas for the next 2 hours. Some corny shit in it, but overall solid movie.

3 beers out of 5.

Mandalorian S3 premier yesterday - Good, ok for a setup episode.

Black Adam....better than I expected, which was a flaming pile of shit as usual from DC. I still have no clue who most of the characters are. The wanna-be Ant-Man and Falcon (not a comic nerd, no idea who came first). But given that Marvel has done everything so much better, DC looks like Go-Bots to Marvel's Transformers.

But I liked the Rock/Black Adam being an anti-hero.

SISU looks entertaining. Surprised they didn't go with Russians at this time. But killing Nazis is always fun to watch. They just made a WWII Rambo basically. The landmine thrown into the helmet, now that's just funny.
