fuuuuck @ Rings latest episode

Good episode.
The initial battle results were predictable. I called it as soon as these old men and women started beating them right off the bat.

The dark elf was clever though. Both with the battle strategy and the hilt decoy. But I don't know how the fuck Galadriel or nobody actually unwrapped it to make verify that was what they were looking for. They just assumed? Dumb.

What's happening there? Did Wakanda get an aquaman or something? I don't have a clue WTF is going on there. I'll watch it on Disney probably, but it looks kinda dumb. Time for Marvel to face the fact that RDJ/Tony Stark was the heart of the MCU. Loki is dead. You turned the Hulk boring.

Dr. Strange and Thor can't keep you afloat alone.

That's Marvel's version of Aquaman, Namor. I thought he was a good guy, but they're probably doing another one of those anti-hero things.

They need a fresh look for the MCU - I'm not saying they need to reboot the universe or anything, but maybe lay off all the cross-character tie-ins for a bit. I think some of the best post-Endgame content has been where there aren't constant callbacks to other movies, shows or characters. Moon Knight, for example, was great, and not a single reference to the rest of the MCU. Miss Marvel was a pretty fresh take, too - and only a marginal connection to Captain Marvel.

Let's have some good stand-alone movies and characters for a bit. It's less fun if everyone has super powers.

Not exactly. In Fatman, Walton Goggins was a hitman who held a grudge against Santa for giving him coal, so he searched all his life until he finally found where Santa lives and went to kill him. They also had a different take on Santa. Christmas was about to die because so few believed and so many kids were bad. He also wasn't super magical. He had contracts to get funding to pay the workers and he got dropped. As a last resort, he contracted to the US Government who ended up taking over and trying to force the elves to make weapons. 2 separate stories in 1 movie.

It was actually pretty entertaining. Although I'm also a fan of basically anything Gibson or Goggins does. Excluding the Christ stuff

Except the Jesus stuff obvi

How can Mel hate the Jews but love Jesus the Jew?

Mel's an action and comedy guy. I can do without religious movies. I barely remember Passion of the Christ, but IIRC, it was just a visual of stuff we all know from the Bible. It's not entertaining like watching a movie show us battles in history we already know happened.

Maybe if the Romans used tomahawks, axes, or guns it might have been more entertaining

Mel only rants about the Jews when he's drunk.

I never saw Passion of the Christ. I think the last Mel Gibson movie I saw was Apocalypto, which I thought was really good.

mel should have really just been quiet about his anti-semitism for a few years. Its now all the rage in progressive circles.
1) Mel can do what he wants, he's produced a many of his own movies.

2) Apparently capitalism wins out in the end because they're in production of Lethal Weapon 5.

I watched the Passion in theaters with my entire family when it came out. It's a movie you only watch once.

Jeez.

Dahmer. I knew a few bits and pieces but never really bothered to look that much into it. Watching the series on Netflix and damn. What a fucking monster dude was. Makes my skin crawl and I’m usually into horror or series like mindhunter.

Yeah Dahmer was a hard watch. I felt like it could have been a couple of episodes shorter to leave out some of the worst shit he did.
