⚖️Law & Order Crimes and trials

NY Post article reports finding from surveys:

Gen Z loves using self checkout line with the primary reason being......how easy it is to steal.
Yeah I read some other report on how many of them "quiet steal" by filing complaints at amazon about products that are fine.

I can't even imagine you not realizing your pals are dead on your porch for 48 hours.
It's a really weird story. The toxicology reports on the deceased should be interesting. My first thought was they all got into some coke tainted with fentanyl.

The whole fentanyl crisis....it's all they talk about. Too much fentanyl, people are dying....

Not once has anyone said, "Maybe he should work on this addiction problem because without their addiction, they wouldn't get drugs laced with fentanyl...."

I'm pretty sure this is a crime....Doc?

So yesterday a woman I hooked up with quite a while ago messaged me, asking for a big favor. She worked from home doing tech support, she got fired, running out of money, needs a new job. The problem? She's an illegal, which I didn't know. She can't get the new job she wants, which is basically the same as the old (no idea how she got the old one). She wants me to apply for the job, she does the job, and I get her paycheck and she has to hope I'm honest enough to give her the pay (with me taking a cut).

Obviously I told her no. It sounds like fraud and the IRS don't fuck around. Not to mention it would bump me into another tax bracket and make me pay higher taxes on my entire income, so I'd have to take that out of her pay as well. She'd end up working for $10/hr after I took care of myself, plus I'd have to take a cut for my effort and pain in the ass. Maybe another % for my risk fucking with the IRS and committing fraud for an illegal.

Obviously I told her no and I wouldn't even do that shit for a close friend or girlfriend. It's not worth the risk or headache to make a few extra bucks. But I'm curious exactly what laws that would be breaking? FTR - She's asian, not hispanic.

I have no doubt you would both be putting yourselves at risk of criminal charges, although I don't know what the specific charge might be - it's definitely fraudulent.

Yeah, I didn't consider it for a second. Though she kept trying to convince me how easy it would be and no one would ever know. She's not too bright and will do anything to avoid getting a real job. She clearly doesn't know shit about the IRS, which was the first thing that popped into my head before I found out she was also illegal.

She didn't admit, though I didn't ask, if that's how she got her last job...which was tech support for fucking Apple. She's also a liberal, imagine that. Fucking people....maybe I should give it 6 months and drop an anonymous call to ICE on her  I mean, she's not hispanic, so they may actually deport her.

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A federal judge on Wednesday dismissed Disney's free speech lawsuit against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, leaving the company's remaining hopes of regaining control of the district that governs Walt Disney World to a separate state court challenge.

U.S. District Judge Allen Winsor in Tallahassee said in his decision that Disney lacked standing in its First Amendment lawsuit against the Republican governor, the secretary of the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity and DeSantis' appointees to the Disney World governing district. The separate lawsuit is still pending in state court in Orlando.

On two separate occasions in 2020, Tony Sfeir tricked two men into believing they were talking to a woman online, and invited them over to his Toronto home to have anonymous sex through a hole in a sheet hanging in a doorway.
The ruse came to an end when the second man pulled the sheet down to find Sfeir cowering on the ground in a black wig, and he was later arrested.

In her previous decision convicting Sfeir last September, Mocha found that the two victims believed they were talking online with a woman and were going over to her home for a “glory hole scenario,” that is, a hole in a wall — or other material — through which people can engage in typically anonymous sex.

As instructed, the victims walked into the home and put their penises inside a hole in a sheet hanging in a doorway. Oral sex was performed, and then it became penetration without warning, which both victims believed was anal. Their identities are covered by a standard publication ban.

I figure if you're going to a glory hole, you already know that there is a 99.9999% chance that the person on the other side of the hole is a dude.
