đź“°News COVID thread

Well that’s how the constitution set it up. Elected officials should be responsible for policy since at least you can not vote for them later vs career person who doesn’t know about the overall impact of decisions on the overall well-being and economy

See: early COVID when experts were listened to and shut down the world making things worse

Science is easy, policy is hard

Fair. But when the White House has no experts and definitely none that aren't bias, The supposed experts have to get buy off on people even more ignorant than they are. That's kind of broken. The Founders didn't imagine we'd have a thousand different organizations telling everyone how to live their lives on a daily basis that the government would have to oversee, made clear that the Feds were only supposed to have 2 real purposes.

We know what the Constitution was written for and could anticipate certain things. Something like the CDC is not one of them.

well of course, our agencies are far too bloated and powerful. unfortunately, congress has largely ceded its authority to agencies. Mostly dems but Bush 2 was also baaaad. Don't get me started on the non delegation doctrine - though good news is there are legal challenges and hopefully scotus does some good stuff!

in any event I'd rather have someone that I can unelect call the shots rather than career tax siphons.

Yeah, we've known this forever. Good on them for coming out with an article well after the Florida team released those same findings. Only there was no "may"...it was a definitive no.

This should be evident by the CDC now saying you don't need to stay home if you have no symptoms.

Oh God, I just watched that clip. The View retards just keeps repeating the lies they did 2 years ago. Whoopi implying kids were saved because they weren't at school? It's astonishing how the "party of science" is entirely anti-science on literally every fucking subject.

Dr. Phil was on Rogan recently and it's a great podcast. He really hammers leftists on a couple issues, primarily transing kids and COVID
I realized I didn't finish the last hour of that podcast. Right now I'm listening to Dr. Phil call it stupid for tearing down statues and applying modern day standards re: slavery to our Founders. That's like the police changing the 60mph speed limit to 30mph and then giving you a ticket for going 60 in a 30 last year.

Boy Dr. Phil is wound up. When he made the same talking point as that View clip, he was outright pissed when saying on Rogan.
