On my delta flight the stewardess said to take a bite or
Sip then replace your mask ffs
They told me that nonsense, I did not comply, that’s complete horse shit, only the Barney Fifes of flight attendants feel the need to try and enforce that bs.

So a few weeks ago, my brother came down with the 'vid, but he recovered. He traveled, resumed running, playing tennis and golf and has been fine.

Now he's in the hospital with a pulmonary embolism. We can't help but think it's connected. He's unvaxxed but is in great shape.

Great Advice from FEMA with help from the CDC. Sometimes it seems like we're all living in an onion.com simulation:

From the Fed's Website Ready.gov

Nuclear Explosion
Nuclear explosions can cause significant damage and casualties from blast, heat, and radiation but you can keep your family safe by knowing what to do and being prepared if it occurs.......

A nuclear explosion may occur with or without a few minutes warning.......

Fallout is most dangerous in the first few hours after the detonation when it is giving off the highest levels of radiation. It takes time for fallout to arrive back to ground level, often more than 15 minutes for areas outside of the immediate blast damage zones. This is enough time for you to be able to prevent significant radiation exposure by following these simple steps:

GET INSIDE
Get inside the nearest building to avoid radiation. Brick or concrete are best.

Remove contaminated clothing and wipe off or wash unprotected skin if you were outside after the fallout arrived. Hand sanitizer does not protect against fall out. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth, if possible. Do not use disinfectant wipes on your skin.

Go to the basement or middle of the building. Stay away from the outer walls and roof. Try to maintain a distance of at least six feet between yourself and people who are not part of your household. If possible, wear a mask if you’re sheltering with people who are not a part of your household. Children under two years old, people who have trouble breathing, and those who are unable to remove masks on their own should not wear them.

I’ve been worried about this with government overreach for years and it’s sadly come to pass. Absolute lack of trust in scientific institutions because they are led by idiots

Wouldn't radiation leak in through doors, windows, ventilation, etc? If you're close to a nuclear blast, just kiss your ass goodbye. I look back at my parents' stories of being in school during the cuban missile crisis and the school had regular drills of getting under their desks. If a nuke hits Florida anywhere close, what fucking good does hiding under a desk do?

I think it’s just any general explosion to protect from falling objects / the same thing is recommended for earthquakes. Obvi right next door dead, nearby explosion maybe not get hit on the head. Also a lot like masks - be seen as it doing something vs helpless fear

Dude nails it.
"Let's be friends"... bullshit.

100%

The SOTU address, politicians crowded together, hugging and shaking hands, none of them masked. Crickets. Same time, DeSantis tells the kids they can take off their masks and the media attacks him for it and it's all over the fucking news.

Literally continuing the divide and partisan attacks at the exact same time as crying for unification.

Fuck them all.

And let’s not forget about the relative risk. Kids almost zero, 80 year olds - nearly all the deaths

And remove those deaths with obesity and those numbers under 50 reduce to almost non-existent.

I wore a mask yesterday for the first time in over 6 months. A Dr. Appt. Hate hate hate. Felt perfectly fine and within 10 minutes of wearing the mask, I start getting stuffy. It was hot in their office, so I felt like I was suffocating. Fucking sucked ass.

I don't think we'll ever not wear masks at the Dr again.

jeez my accountant - so just to pick up my taxes that are done, I have to make an appointment; then when I get there I have to stand at the bottom of their OUTSIDE steps and call them and wait for them to come get me to allow me to come in. LOL

More and more fear mongering tweets and articles about a new, more deadly strain of Covid coming in the near future....as many are pointing out, just in time as we midterm elections are in sight. I'm sure that's a coincidence.

Gotta have a reason to keep the cheat by mail system in place.
