🤬Bitch Catch all/random thread

A doctor told me once to keep it to 3 cups of coffee/tea/coke a day and have them all by noon and that works for me. If there is some unusual event, like a didn't get enough sleep or I need to drive a lot or whatever I'll allow myself a 4th cup. much more and i get jittery

On my 3rd mug of coffee, no tea, no cokes/cola of any kind. I used to do decaf after the 3rd cup but stopped about 5 years ago.

Drink a normal mug of coffee while getting ready for work then bring a 32oz tumbler full with me. It is normally gone by 10 or so and I drink water the rest of the day unless I am drinking beer.

Think I’ve traveled every week but 1 since Jan 1, and the exception was when the wife & son had flu. At this age, it’s much more of a grind down, might call for a 4th cup of tea today. Not going anywhere for a few weeks, maybe the whole month of March, need to eating much cleaner, and walking, get this 7lbs of road weight off.

I lost internet for half a day, Tuesday....This email came once it was repaired.

"Accidentally"....I guess  City wide outage of a new company taking over.

Good Evening,
Our crews are continuing repair efforts and will be working through the night to restore service.

Earlier today, a competitor accidentally damaged our main fiber line, resulting in this outage. While this was unfortunately outside of our control, our teams responded immediately and have been working tirelessly to complete repairs. At this time, we anticipate service will be restored by early morning.

It's funny how Verizon considers a free phone with a 3 year contract or whatever to be a bargain and motivator to add a line. Add a line, for a whopping $10 cheaper than a single line, is hardly a motivator. The whole point of bundling is to save money.

So I'm friends with our former HR director. I mentioned I think part of the reason we're friends is that I didn't go to her for counseling or ever. She mentioned that our racist, psycho weirdo accounting veep complained about me TWICE. So this guy is from latin america and if you don't understand something just starts screaming. I've also had to leave my office when he was LOUDLY saying stuff like Hitler wasn't that bad. he's a douche.

so the funniest thing he complained to her about I'd almost forgotten but one of my hillbilly moments. We had moved into new offices and at a staff meeting he said people need to be considerate of others and shut their doors and be quiet. Keep in mind this guy is so loud! anyway people asked is it x, is it y and he just kept saying no with a little smile so it was obvious it was me. After the meeting he was sitting at his desk and I went in and stood very close and over him and said if he ever had a problem with me to come to me and not bring it up in front of our boss. he started off smiling and tried the "I didn't say it was you" then I could tell got nervous and he's never tried it again.

Apparently he went to HR and said I was threatening lol and my friend is like "should I go to MIke" who was our boss, a straight dude from kentucky and he's like oh nono no.

OMG what a pussy! LOL scared of a girl in glasses.

When I was in management, I'd always have the 1 guy who thought he knew better or wanted to undermine me. He'd write these long emails and copy his manager, office manager, and a VP (and one time the CEO). Imagine the balls for a peon to copy the CEO in a company like JE about some petty shit that he has no clue about or care about....

I'd reply all, prove him wrong/shut him down in 2 or 3 sentences. Every single time. I only asked him once to just come to me directly, don't waste their time. Once he ignored that, I was ruthless in my replies to everyone and made him look as stupid as possible.

God I hated that job. Being a corporate manager and being held responsible for that person's work, but not having him your direct employee and no direct authority over him. An impossible position to be put in.
