🤬Bitch Bitch thread

3 calls to tree companies. Everyone said I'd have someone here for a quote this morning.

In the afternoon and not even a phone call to say they're running late or reschedule. I'm not sure I've ever had a smooth transaction with any tree company, even larger companies with a receptionist, arborist, etc. All unreliable as hell.

friend works at Davey try them
Finally got a couple guys out late afternoon. Cheapest bid...$3800 for 4 trees. Fuuuuck. But 3 of them have to come down. Damn laurel oaks. They look healthy, big, tall and bushy....and rotten trunks. One is leaning towards the house, the other hangs over the road, one is a really big and close to the house...no guarantee which way it'll fall....could be house, could be 39th Ave, any other direction it'd get caught up in trees. Since it's next to one where the crane would be, he threw in the stupid sweetgum tree for $400.

My entire lot, only 3 trees are worth a shit. 2 live oaks and a younger magnolia. By the time I move, I'll have only those 3 trees left from a fairly wooded lot. Fucking laurels are shit trees.

I used to have a crackhead in the neighborhood that would drop a tree, cut it up, and drag the pieces to the road for $100 a tree. Kept him busy after the hurricanes.

I use to have some old black dudes from the country that did work pretty cheap. But they were purely climb and cut. 2 of these trees, the truck is so rotten, no sane person would climb this tree. Crane required. Maybe your crackhead would :lol :

But there's nowhere to drop these trees. They're all around my house/roads with other shit in the way. A crane and coming down in pieces is the only option unfortunately.

Yeah, this dude would climb anything and all the trees were well away from anything.

He had his chainsaw rigged so it ran wide open without having to hold the trigger down. One time (not at my place) he fell out of the tree and his hand landed on the saw. Took his thumb clean off. They reattached it and he was back in the trees like 6 months later.

If the one hanging over the road is in the city right of way you may be able to have the city cut it down. I didn’t think that was a thing until my Neighbor got jax to do it.

Oh I checked that quickly. I'm almost 10' inside my property on that one. Only 3 or 4' from the sweetgum. If I wasn't worried about a negligence lawsuit in the million to 1 odds of terrible timing, I'd let them just fall on the road

City review comes back. Newberry hired some new people and their review comments are all absurd. Most of it is them bringing personal preferences and other cities codes to here and then ordering us to change things. It's so damn frustrating to have to bend to these assholes with these tedious bullshit comments. Especially when it's a lot of redundancy. We avoid redundancy to avoid errors when shit changes. Technically if they want this shit done, they should go through the channels to change the code.....But no, they make ridiculous comments and it's easier to just give it to them instead of fight them. But fuck it adds a bunch of stupid work I shouldn't be wasting my time on.

Have a hell of a headache. Came outside to relax and smoke a cigar. Without fail, every single time, 2 minutes into the cigar, the neighbor opens the garage and starts the power tools. 30 minutes straight of a circular saw…I’m ready to snap.

Every fucking day, it’s nice and quiet. As soon as I come outside, someone starts a tool, a leaf blower, yesterday the other neighbor decided to bang on a wood crate with a hammer for 20 minutes. :suicide:

One of my bearded dragons has been on a 2 week digging kick. Dig a massive hole in her sand and scratch at the glass for 4 hours. Move to another area, dig a new hole and repeat. The sound is driving me fucking mad

i hate how stuffy it gets when so many places keep their heat on like its 20 out when its a heat wave.
Even stuffy from no circulation. We're in this temp range right now where it's warm during the day, but cool enough at night to not let the house get hot during the day. So nothing is kicking on most of the day and it ends up stuffy even if it's not hot. Have to turn the fans on.

Cold people in general who always want the heat on suck.

I think my rat is dead. There has been no rat activity for a few days and one area smells pretty bad, like a decomposing animal. Can't pinpoint exactly where it's coming from, though, so I think we just have to live with the smell for a while.

My Canadian coworkers have mortgages a lot worse than us. There are no 30yr mortgages, pretty much 5 years is the standard, so they have to get a new mortgage every five years, pay all the fee's, get fucked by interest rates etc.. No clue why they wont extend that out.

I think you answered your own question

I’m hangry. Out getting breakfast at the diner, only one other person at the counter to eat. And this cunt won’t stop tapping his foot on the rail. 10 feet away and I can feel the tapping non-stop.

It’s awkward to ask a guy to stop tapping his fucking feet, but I’m also about to lose my shit it’s so god damn irritating.
