Get a new doctor.

I am. Not really a lot of great Drs around. Most appear to be pill pushers, don't actually listen to you, etc. It's a PITA to find a good one.

I hear you, went through the same thing 2 years ago, found a new doc, but he's so ficken' afraid of catching covid, he went to a zoom/telahealth only system for the duration of the pandemic. Thinking about looking for new one, but it is a hassle.

Yeah, same thing just happened to me. Great dr. Little older than me just left the practice. Haven’t even seen my new doctor, just his 200+ lbs pa chick who tells me I need to lose weight because I have high bp. I do need to lose a little weight, but my blood pressure is hereditary and it started when I was a 160 lb 22 year old. I think she believes I’m lying about it.

One of the very few "natural" meds that helps with BP is Mukta Vati. It's full of some herbs or something like that and legit works. It's cheap as hell too. The ingredient that helps dilate the blood vessels is Indian Snake Root. I normally shrug this shit off but have used it with good results. YMMV.

I have the same issue with cholesterol. Mine is hereditarily high. I went a year with heavy exercise, a good diet, etc and it didn’t change at all. They keep trying to put me on meds for it.

Yep. same with me, mine has always been above 200 even when I was in college working out 2 hours a day. I finally went on lipitor and its gone down.

just doing some slides for a my boss about accomplishments, and laughing about my old boss whom I'd have to explain a bill every 6 months to that is really one of the most successful programs ever and she never really understood

she was fired for other stuff but what a doofus.

1) For the 5th time today, fuck architects.

2) Today I had to break out an emergency can of soup for lunch, nothing left to eat. There is literally almost no actual food in this can of italian meatball soup. It's 98% liquid. Like 5 noodles and 2 tiny meatballs in it and basically no veggies. We know restaurants have been fucking us since covid started as an excuse to reduce portions and increase prices and now the supply issues are one more reason to fuck customers....but unless I'm imagining it, I'm pretty sure I've noticed it happening in packaged goods as well.

Cox slashed prices to the payout for jobs. The result? 10% pay cut for me. Awesome.

That sucks. I feel your pain. Lost my health insurance reimbursement through QWERSHA, which amounts to 10% of my net income. That was my cigar and ammo money :eg:

I haven't looked at ammo in a while, but it's down to about .30/rd for 9mm. I might go to the range tomorrow.

I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on a 9mm. Probably a Glock 19 MOS, for a new carry weapon. The stainless .45 gets heavy and I have to worry about sweat in the summer. Only real reason I'm going with a 9mm is to have one more diversity caliber. Juuuust in cast SHTF one day, 9mm ammo will likely be far more available to scavenge than .45 will be. Not that I think it'll seriously happen, just wishful thinking and too many apocalyptic movies

Wait a couple of months and get the kel-tec P15 when they start shipping. I hear good things about them. Super light for carrying.

Guns seem like a great investment now and i feel more secure knowing my friends here have them
Assuming there's no ban, guns/ammo are never a bad investment regardless of the status of the country. The price is never going down so low where you'd lose money.

But yeah, in uncertain times, there's no harm in having that security blanket. This seems a little strange, but the woman I'm seeing now and the previous woman both said my carrying a gun made them feel safe and was a turn on  Not that the current woman needs it, she carries her own Glock and has pistols spread throughout her house and an AR15 in her home office

I'm getting my wife a little S&W 38 in the next few weeks. Pretty slick gun. No sights on the slide, just a little green lighted dot on the back that you can only see when everything is lined up.

I need another gun, there ain't no way I'm carrying my current one. Hi-Point 40Cal. Bitch weighs 10 lbs.

Not a fan of kel-tec. They're perfectly fine and a lot of it is preference. The even lighter are 2 big reasons I don't like it. 1) Weight reduction came at the cost of using polymer in the slide instead of all steel. Longevity, I'll take that extra weight. 2) The width is getting pretty narrow. I haven't handled a pistol that thin, but even with a Glock, 1" wide is pushing it for the comfort of my hands.

And on a superficial reason, I just think they're kinda ugly. They're cheaper in part because they're less refined and polished.

Really I'd have to handle it. I like the description of the sights. The lower price may be enough to outweigh the concern of longevity of the partially polymer slide. The comfort of the handle would be my biggest concern, given my ever increasing issues with my hands/grip. It's still ugly in comparison to a Glock....that shouldn't factor in, but it does

most women like authoritarian alphas, whether they realize it or not.

Absolutely. Conservative women are 100% aware that they want an alpha male. They have zero respect for a man who they can walk all over or won't stand up for her. Left leaning/moderate women are aware of it, but try to hide it because they want to appear feminist. Far, far left women....aren't really women, soooo

Fun story: The woman I was seeing for a few months, very specific that she believed in traditional gender roles, alpha man, etc. Yet when we talked about our future, she tried to control 100% of every aspect and thinking only her opinions mattered. No compromising or meeting in the middle. Now she did have some OCD and control issues. I told her point blank, "you can't talk about how you believe in traditional gender roles and want an alpha man and then get upset when you can't control his opinions, style, taste, etc. Fucking pick one, but you can't have it both ways". So yeah, that relationship ended the same night as that fight

Honestly, conservative city women are pretty terrible in their own way. They have these general ideas of alpha men and traditional roles, but how they approach it compared to country conservatives is very different. It's more a fantasy ideology than a reality they can follow through with.

My wife is reading a book on raising a child with social justice, and some other woke book. She said “you’d love this, you should read it”, as I was watching Vikings chop people up , I passed. I guess she thinks that because I’m actively involved in helping others that it makes me interested in being woke. :s uicide:
