Sure, it's been a while, but my 8th grade trip (Epcot) - we left at like 5am, got back late evening.
My kid's trip is to Universal this Friday. They go to school as normal and leave for Orlando at 2:30pm. They'll begin to organize at Universal to leave at midnight, hopefully leave by 12:30 and plan to get back to Gainesville at 2:30am.
What. The. Fuck. is that bullshit? What dumb cunt thought that schedule was acceptable?

Hard to keep track of, they have so many days off. How many teacher work days do they fucking need? Especially this semester and the timing. Come back from spring break, teacher work day the following week. That's happened 3 times this semester. Are they teachers or Congress? I wonder if they did it because teachers always complained about going 3 months without pay so they effectively made it 2 months.
Next school year starts Aug 11th. It use to start at the end of the August. Especially annoying this time. The kid refuses to miss the first day of high school, but we'll be in TN on the 9th for my parent's 50th anniversary.

Fucking iphones. I'm typing as normal and suddenly the text box is changing words, using predictive text when I didn't select it. It was literally making nothing but a hodge podge of random words. It just took me forever to type a paragraph with that shit.

My daughter has no idea what "high stepping". Never heard of it, never played a sport where it was a typical warmup, etc. But damn she did some impressive high stepping in flipflops when we came across a corn snake a few weeks ago

Oh FFS...The kid gets good grades and since the teachers suck so bad, I don't ask too many questions. Check in, ask what they're learning, etc.
This morning she finally tells me rather important details about math. They haven't actually taught at all this semester. After Christmas break, no more tear out work sheets. The kids get on a computer and just choose any part of pre-algebra they want to do and run through the software, teaching themselves.
What the fuck is that shit? That is in no way going to prepare a kid for high school algebra.

Well that went as expected. The kid's trip to Universal. The outlets on the charter buses didn't work, so phones couldn't be charged. Phone had half battery life at lunch. We kept telling her to keep it off, she has to be able to contact us when they leave and get back in the middle of the night. 30% before they left.
They were supposed to leave at 12:30 to 1am. The ex was worried early and calls me at midnight. I was trying to get some sleep before I had to pick up the kid later. Ended up talking for half an hour. Eventually after 1 we hear from the kid. One girl got in trouble, a few kids passed out. One kid they couldn't wake up, one kept sobbing once she woke up. 6 teachers for 200 kids running wild in 95 degrees for 10 hours. No one telling them to drink water, stay hydrated. Heat stroke and dehydration took some kids out. Luckily mine is smart enough to take her water bottle and refill it. Dumbass teachers didn't know what to do. Not surprisingly, they left over an hour late.

Cracked tooth. hairline, but enough to cause inflammation in ligaments around the nerve when I eat. Irritating as shit. OTC mouth guards are dog shit. Have to get one molded....

I hear these stories a lot. My 1 or 2 day amazon deliveries are almost always on time. Now anyone using USPS, as previously mentioned, different story. But Amazon kills it here.
