My ice maker stopped working. Check the water (which is inside the fridge, not on the door)....Nope. I assume it froze.

FFS....I need my damn ice maker, but what am I supposed to do, unplug it and let it thaw?
 
Oh and to make it "worse", my water bottle works too good. I'm almost always drinking out of my hydroflask. I filled it up at night, put it in the fridge overnight because I was too lazy to go buy ice. Mid morning I go to get my water, the bottle is really cold. I take a drink.....room temperature water.

Well, it does its job....it maintained the temperature :facepalm:
 
Thanks dad for the narrow arteries! Seeing the cardiologist Monday, having some elevated heart rate & get winded super easy. Was trying to get a closet door back on those tracks, hr got to 130 from minimal effort, had to sit down. Few twinges of pain, very very brief & minor. If I don’t post again, someone’s going to have to be RIP II 😏 JK!!

Not sure if this is your first contact with a cardiologist, but that group of doctors subspecialize into 2 basic groups: plumbers and electricians. If this is your first contact you'll probably see a "general" cardo type to find out what's going on. Probably will run a number if tests to see if they can help, usually with meds, live style adjustments, etc. Depending on what's going on he may refer you to the plumber for a heart cath, or further tests. If it's the electrician, that's usually for pacemakers, ablations, that type of stuff. Its amazing how much they have learned about cardio treatment since our fathers contact with them. I always forget, every time, momentarily and it always pisses me off.

I can't not for the life of me figure out why Architects always turn their buildings upside down so South is facing up. Every time they give me a floorplan or a generic site plan to locate the site with no north arrow, it takes me longer than it should to locate because everything is in the wrong fucking place. When you have an east-west oriented building, there's no logic to rotating it at all, let alone completely upside down.
 
Fuuuuuuck.

We've spent a fuck ton of time designing a pretty complicated site for a Toyota dealership in Lake City. Wetlands on each side, 35' setback wetland buffer. We started this in 2023. The site is packed ass to elbow with 3 buildings, endless parking, and enough space the vehicle transport semi can get through. And the grading, there's a 20 foot drop across the site.

Just now got a new survey in. No idea why...but the wetlands delineation increased a lot. Like, fucked the site to a re-design level. :facepalm:

It won't change anything for us. Good for private landowners, farmers, etc., but it doesn't change the need for a businesses permit of mass land development. I'm not sure if I see Florida going along with this, a lot of them are all about protecting "Old Florida" unless it's to build another theme park. In this case though, these wetlands are in the floodplain of an adjacent Lake, so part of the time they are connected to "waters"....Even if it's occasionally, I'd think you have to consider that connected.

Found out why we had to get a new survey and revisit the wetlands though. The permit wasn't for this client. The permit was for this same site that my boss did an assisted living facility for before I got here. The funding fell through, time passes, and this new client bought the land. They tried to rush it through before the permit expired (that ain't happening with architects involved). Didn't happen. New permit, new survey, back to square 1.

It actually worked out, because at the same town I just found out the client was soooooo far over budget he never could have built out the whole site (this shit happens A LOT. They spend money to have it designed, can't build it, then they come down to reality and have to pay us more). So we were going to have to redesign and shrink the site by a lot anyway :lol:
 
My ex made a hair appointment for the kid at one of those stupid expensive places a couple weeks ago . A kid doesn’t need a $130 haircut. She then takes off this week (spring break). Appt was today at 1:30.

The ex, out of the entire fucking week, picks up teaching a couple Pilates classes. Just 2. At her normal time? Nope. Right during the appt.

So I have to take off work too and pay for this stupid thing. And worse, it’s 3:35 and I’m still fucking waiting at this god damn salon.

Christ I wish I could walk next door and drink some beer.

I’d have a little respect for the selfish, greedy pain if she just asked me to instead of stupid ass games like this.

Yeah, being held hostage like that would make me rage. She probably made a huge deal about it with the kid, no way you could have denied her.

Nope. And I had to cancel our day trip on Friday because now I have shit to get done at work for missing work. I flat out said why while we were waiting.

The one small plus, since her stylist ran 30 fucking minutes behind, we walked around the new shops in Butler Plaza. I haven't been to that area, some pretty expensive shit for Gainesville. Like, $400 an outfit of regular ass clothes.....and there's nothing here but bars and 2 nice restaurants. Anyway....this hair place, Sephora next day...every single woman that walked in those places from college age to my age was smoking hot. Most of the younger chicks had their ass hanging out of their painted on gym shorts.

Side note - Some of these chicks were with their parents. I don't care if she's a legal adult, how does a girl have the guts to go in public with her parents with her ass ass cheeks hanging out and neither parent says a damn thing? I don't care if that's a fight happening every single time.
 
Since earlier in the school year, I had an agreement with the asshole old neighbors to turn their house vibrating music off around 9pm, especially on school nights. I was mostly free of the noise during cold nights, but now that it's warm again, they're back at it. And it's almost always a fucking week night. But it's also getting later and later. Last night they didn't turn it off until 11:30ish. I went over and tried to yell over the fence, they didn't hear me.

No politeness, keep it friendly or be reasonable in me. The second I see them outside today, one of them is getting verbally assaulted. And of course, make it clear that if it's not turned off by the legal time (10), I will call the cops on them every single time.

My problem is, and I'm gonna have to contact GPD to find specifics, the actual law is that the noise violation doesn't come into play until you're 200 feet away. 200 fucking feet? No houses in Gainesville city limits are 200 feet from each other. That's not at all reasonable. So the cops better be of some fucking use here, because if not.....petty revenge is my only recourse. I'll start with banging on their door and waking them up at 5am after they've kept me awake. I'm incapable of sleeping in so those cunts keeping me awake fucks up the next day for me. Well if I can't sleep, neither can they. I'm still nice enough to give them one final warning that this is coming though.
 
I've been told you can use an electronic predator call to piss off the neighbors. You point it towards neighbor's backdoor, upload/play high pitched sounds until you find the right one. Watch them get pissed when they walk outside.

I have the setup, but haven't used it for that.
 
Oh hell yeah. I emailed GPD to ask them if they were useless and stuck to the arbitrary 200 feet rule when almost no houses are 200 feet apart in the city limits, making their law basically worthless. (more polite and respectful than that). But I don't have much hope they'll be help, so passive aggressive revenge needs to be planned.

Hopefully that would make it through their music to annoy them them and make them stop.
 
My predator call gets fucking loud. My wife could hear me testing mine from 1/2 mile away. But... that was on a clear day, in the country.
 
A couple of times a week i can hear Asians doing karaoke from 3 streets over. No clue how their neighbors haven't murdered them yet.
 
Just went over $400 at the grocery store, it wasn't that long ago going over $300 was an event. This is for 2 people lol

also having to paid 4K in income taxes, I'm sure to pay off some grifter pretending to teach drag to aborigine toddlers
 
Another $100 just now. Mostly meat and fruit

And fuck Florida, we completely skipped spring. It's August level humidity out there, absolute suffocating mugginess. And it'll be 90 tomorrow.
