📰News 🦝 Possum news (and memes)

3 chickens dead on 2 nights in the last week. It's that time of year, the coons or possums have returned.

These chickens haven't laid for shit for much of this year, they're just a waste of feed, so I've left the coup open. Let them die for all I care. Fuck paying $50+/mo in chicken feed only to still have to buy eggs.

Now I have to bury 2 chickens after the kid goes to school and I get to start trying to trap and introduce them to my murder trough.

I have a worse problem than Juggs. Going to shut out cat indoors and setup a trap. Should be entertaining.

Would normally ignore the little fucker but he was on the porch steps this morning. Can’t have it trying to follow the cat through the dog door.

I know someone who trapped a skunk and almost got sprayed trying to dispose of it. The next skunk that got into the live trap.....just stayed in there until it died.

I'd try a conibear or something else so it's easy to shoot.

I'm just going to cover my live trap with cardboard and a blanket, if I don't catch it in the yard again. Been carrying my suppressed 5.7x28 pistol around.

I'm down to 9 chicks out of 16. Still, my older ones still aren't producing to the point I just never put them in the coop. They free range all day and I keep hoping something eats the last 5. It's been weeks and whatever coon/possum ate my last 2 hasn't come back at all. WTF?

Can you eat them or is it not worth the hassle?
de-feathering a bird is a huge pain in the ass and not worth the effort IMO. Especially when chicken is cheap and right now you can buy a turkey for .49/c a pound

4 of them are scrawny anyway, although laid massive XXL sized eggs when they were laying. It was crazy to see them lay eggs near twice the size of Big Momma (she's a huge fat waddler that would probably be good eats).

I've left my chicken coop open for weeks now. I want my older wants to get eaten so I don't have to deal with them. Since the last was eaten, the critter never came back. In like 2 months now? WTF.

So, this is how the world ends. Not climate change, not nuclear war... Carnivorous squirrels.
This will be the next Planet of the Apes movie...Apes vs. Carnivorous Squirrels. Box office Gold.
