Absolutely would have been a dead cat as soon as possible. And I would make a point of killing every single one of those fuckers I saw on or near my property.
In animal news....I hate my chickens. The first year, they laid great. Now it's a month of good laying, a month or two of bad laying. They shouldn't stop laying except during brooding and molting. I've never seen anything like this. Yet these dumb assholes eat $60/mo in food even when they free range (not to mention the amount the rats I'm slowly killing off eat).
I left the coop open last night hoping a critter would eat them, but I may have killed them all. I'm hoping we'll get some high winds....I think they'll stay out in the yard in wind, just not heavy rain. I want to see if they can get blown away if we get TS gusts.
It's that way for livestock in America if you're not a large corporation. Private farms? All livestock must be registered when breed them. It's only a matter of time before we get to chickens too. Realistically America is too large to enforce that.
A woman living in Kitsap County, near Seattle, Washington, called 911 after a gang of 100 raccoons arrived at her house and began scratching at her doors and windows.
I noticed something dug it's way under my shed when I was mowing. Figured a critter was in there. Lost a chicken last night. It's that time of the year again....time to kill me some varmint.
