The Penguin(HBOMax) - Finally finished it really good. Collin Farrell and Cristin Miloti were great. Good story, good action. Also filled with a ton of great acting from secondary characters.
So different than what I expected in a good way. Hasn’t been many shows recently that I watched the newest episode as soon as it was available

Agree. Although I love Keaton's Batman and Jack's Joker, the Penguin was just kinda awful in Batman Returns. I wasn't sure what to expect, because every version of the Penguin I've seen was hokey. Making him a legit mobster was great.

The new Beetlejuice. A little weird. Not bad, not great. The last 30 minutes were good. Tim Burton definitely went Tim Burton. The big problem was having over an hour of slow setup, family drama, and an annoying character. Beetlejuice was also....nicer and more pranky than evil? The church scene was funny though.

I always have and always will hate Superman. I haven't been able to watch even Cavill's versions, nothing modern. I'm not a DC fan in general, but there's something about Superman I loathe and can't watch.

I'm that way with the Penguin. Cannot stand him in the movies/comics and cannot get past that enough to watch the Penguin series.

Even as a little kid, I couldn't get past "Oh, I put on glasses and nobody knows who I am despite being around them as both personas all the time".
You laugh but I usually wore glasses and dressed shitty for field work at my job in Gainesville and for the Christmas party I wore a nice dress and contacts and people didn’t recognize me

I consider it different....like, I've seen coworkers (well, in the past) outside of the office and I didn't recognize them at first simply due to the change of setting. It takes a few moments to realize seeing someone out of their usual context. And you don't really stare at people, you just glance or look at them. Superman on the other hand, if you see him, you're 100% staring. There is no way Lois should have gone so long and not figured it out. The hair alone was always the same (which I'm guessing pony tail for field work and hair down for party?)....that greased back WOP look, come on.
