How fucking absurd. How the hell do they leap from sleep apnea, which has nothing to do with race, to daylight savings?  It's a class issue. Poorer people tend to be fatter because shitty food is cheap. Fat people are more likely to have apnea. It's not racist, it's classist.

Still, the entire article is just fucking jibberish and once again, this isn't "science". These are liberals with a degree who work in the science field who make shit up and cherry pick data to push a narrative that everything is racist. Many cultures, particularly African cultures, throughout history didn't even sleep 8 hours a night. They often slept in 3 or 4 hour blocks, waking up to do chores, check for predators, etc. for a couple of hours and then go back to sleep. If they can do that for hundreds of thousands of years, I'm pretty sure daylight savings time in America for a couple generations isn't killing black people.

On another note of shit I hate, archaeologists are having a shit fit over Graham Hancock's 8 episode docuseries on Netflix, Ancient Apocalypse.

Archeologists have long refused to accept anything other than their very specific, dogmatic, and flat out wrong view of history. We have actual evidence that prove they're still clinging on to and teaching outright lies. Graham points out the irrational mentality behind them and breaks down ancient sites around the world, breaking down what we do know about them as well as what we know about geological impacts of the earth. Then he simply offers alternative theories. It took less than a week for every archeological paper/group to call for the removal of the series. They're pushing the UK owned (he's British) networks to remove it from being viewed because it's misinformation (despite the fact he only stated observed facts and offered alternate theories, unlike Ancient Aliens that outright lies, but is left alone because the History channel pushes the liberal agenda big time). The hate and slander he's received for simply using logic and looking at a bigger picture is incredible.

If you like history, it's a quick and easy series to watch. Even if you don't agree with his theories, the look at ancient sites (some you've probably never heard of) is incredible.

Started watching it, pretty good. Weird that they’re trying to shut it down rather than just calling him a psycho.

They’ve been calling him psycho for decades. I started reading his books in 2000 or so.

The weird part is, a lot of local experts at these sites agree with him. You’ll see some in the show. So it’s weird that publications and mainstream archeologists think they know better than the locals who’ve spent decades studying their own culture’s site. And they have no proof to say he’s wrong. Just, “because we said so”.

I’ve followed Gobekli Tepe for several years now. We know it’s 12,000 years old. They admit it. Yet somehow still deny that there were advanced civilizations during or before the ice age. But Graham and others are right. If they built it at the end of the ice age, they weren’t experts on their first attempt. It’s flat out stupid to think they did.

His science, geology, astronomy, etc is sound and they can’t refute it rationally.

Now tying them altogether, that’s a big guess. But as he points out in every episode, all these cultures have virtually the same legends. A jesus figure, so to speak. It’s an issue I’ve had with Christianity for at least 20 years. The Jesus story is told across the world with only slight variations from different time periods.

Short story long, he’s right; why don’t we look into it more? “because nu uh” isn’t a good answer. Archeologists today are basically a group of Faucis. Don’t you dare question!

He used to pop up on History Channel back when it was history Channel. Never read any of his stuff.

I'll probably give the show a viewing.

His books are hit or miss. Some are fantastic. Some have interesting content, but get so into the weeds of that it he manages to make it boring. Like America Before where he discusses in detail and all the evidence behind what some of the episodes are about....he has an entire chapter or two that breaks down DNA code. It's excrutiatingly boring. Although it did connect the DNA of aborigines from Australia and where ever those aborigines came from with the oldest remains found in America, which long predate the northern migration from the Bering Land Bridge. But you lose focus of his point because the minutia was unbearable.

He was on History, IIRC, after Robert Shock made a big discovery (now dead) and then Graham and Robert Bauval wrote a book about his findings (Message of the Sphinx). Shock was the first guy who analyzed and realized the weather patterns on the Sphinx are from heavy rainfall, not wind erosion. Since the Sphinx was buried under sand for thousands of years and they've also been in a dry climate, you have to go back 10,000 years to the last time Egypt had the rain to have caused that rain erosion. That (and many other details of the Sphinx) make it pretty positive that the Egyptians didn't build it like we're taught. Yet despite the Geological proof, Egyptian Archeology has refused to accept it because it would "steal the soul of Egypt". That's when Graham started to get shit on...25 years ago

If for nothing else, the show is worth watching if you like history. The sites alone are amazing and worth seeing. Probably the coolest is in at the end of the season. The 5 story city under the ground. Really damn cool.

Hancock posted on FB what the archeologists are doing and linked to several MSM articles like the Times, Guardian, etc. that were slandering with a title, "Cancel culture alive and well amongst archeologists".

The result? Hancock is put in FB jail. He attacked no one, used no bad language. Professional. Just linking the articles about him and calling it cancel culture got him temporarily suspended.

How and why does that even happen for FB to get involved with archeological subjects?

And it’s twenty somethings with no actual experience or expertise doing it because some journo told them to. Hopefully musk is getting this sorted out.

So clothing design house balenciaga recently fired kanye for antisemitic stuff, which is their right, but has also at the same time was developing an ad campaign centered around sad looking kids lounging with bondage gear. Now, if you complain you’re right wing

New Disney CEO says their trans/gay shit in kids films isn't political, it's telling the world to be good people.

Interesting take since they'll censor all that shit for foreign countries. I guess they don't care about telling other countries "to be good people" if it means losing money.

He says that now, but they brought him back for a reason. I would expect they're going to start toning it down quite a bit now.

Yeah it sounds like they're trying to backtrack and save face/please the left at the same time.

Yeah, but he's also saying he wants to "quiet down" the culture war stuff and to "respect" the audience:

https://www.foxbusiness.com/media/disney-ceo-bob-iger-tells-employees-wants-quiet-culture-wars-respect-audience

Even if he started it, the Board recognized it was bad for business and brought him back to move the company in a more profitable direction.
