While trying to track down some other sources for this article, I came across a great Twitter thread of a guy explaining why testosterone level isn't a valid metric for sorting out who should compete as women and who shouldn't. Chicago Public Schools mandated a teacher training program that declared sex a social construct and threatened punishment if faculty didn't use students' preferred pronouns, multiple teachers told Fox News Digital.

A 104-slide PowerPoint presentation echoed a number of left-leaning talking points that have surfaced in trainings across the country. Titled "Supporting Transgender, Nonbinary, and Gender Nonconforming Students" the presentation argued that "everyone has multiple, overlapping identities" and that sex is assigned at birth.

Hornswoggle has a good point. Dinklage is a fine actor and his demand for more dignified roles for himself is admirable, and it’s hard to see anyone else nailing Tyrion the way he did.

But other actors need to eat and killing a project based on a widely known fairy tale seems a dick move.

A much better option would have been to ask for input on the treatment in the script and make the dwarves more heroic - which iirc they are in the story - and more sensitive. It could have changed the conversation such as how something like Dances with Wolves changed how native Americans were portrayed in movies.

It’s really sad to see artists so in favor of canceling and censorship. They can and have used their platforms to persuade and change minds. Now they have to kill anything unorthodox. So many are worse than the historical Catholic Church in trying kill ideas. And we know that harms innovation.

it continues to blow my mind that they continue to simultaneously gaslight us that race is immutable and the most important thing and that being male or female is NOT, when common sense, daily experience, and science show those ideas are both false.

and it started considerably cheaper than expensive areas of the country. its so absurdly slanted. Also Florida seems to have a lot of variation in cost - from time to time I look at former homes to see how the value has changed. The small townhouse we owned off of SW 20th has barely gone up in value since we sold in 2006.
 
I'm sure most of the state is the same, but in Jacksonville, we are 7 years behind on housing inventory. Those are covid numbers, so building has been slower and demand is up, but that is still crazy, and a huge driver in price inflation.

Not sure counting subscribers is a good metric for calculating customer loyalty, but it certainly doesn't make good business sense to piss off half your customers.

It's a shame. Penzey's does make some good spice blends.
